Thelma

This afternoon I went to the Dendy Cinema Coorparoo where I saw Thelma. Thelma Post(June Squibb) who lives alone in Los Angeles which she is visited by her grandson Daniel(Fred Hechinger) who looks after her and then gets an call her grandson saying that he had been arrested which turns out that it was not Daniel but someone pretended to be him and Thelma sends the money to the address as instructed. Thelma wants to get the money back and tries to track down friends to help but they since passed away and have moved and eventually tracks down old friend Ben(Richard Roundtree) who lives in assisted living which then she takes his scooter as Ben goes with her as well as getting an gun that belongs to her friend Mona (Bunny Levine) they go to the place where the money has been taken and then it gets interesting. It is Fantastic, very funny and very entertaining with excellent acting by June Squibb, Fred Hechinger, Richard Roundtree who passed away last year, Clark Gregg, Parker Posey, Bunny Levine and Malcolm McDowell. It;s directed by Josh Margolin who also did the screenplay and produced by Zoe Worth, Chris Kaye, Nicholas Weinstock, Benjamin Simpson, Karl Spoerri and Vivianna Vezzani and I give it 4 stars as it's in the cinemas now so do yourselves an favour and SEE IT which you will be impressed and amazed.
