4BH Top 40 Charts September 1963
This is from the Telegraph September 6th 1963 and this was the 4BH Top 40 charts with the Atlantics at number 1 with Bombora, Cliff Richard at number 2 with his version of the Ruth Brown 1957 song Lucky Lips, Rob EG at number 3 with 55 Days At Peking and Gerry and the Pacemakers at number 4 with the song written by Mitch Murray I Like It. The new entries in the charts that week were Jack Nitzsche at number 26 with the Lonely Surfer, The girl group The Angels at number 29 with My Boyfriend's Back, Billy K Kramer and the Dakotas at number 33 with the song written by John Lennon and Paul McCartney Bad To Me and the Beach Boys at number 36 with Little Duece Coupe. Besides from the Atlantics and Rob EG the other Australian acts who were in the charts that week were The Denvermen at number 11 with Avalon Stomp, Frank Ifield at number 19 with I'm Confessin and Johnny O'Keefe at number 31 with Move Baby Move.
