4BK Top 10 September 1964

This is from the Telegraph September 2nd 1964 (60 Years ago today) and this was the 4BK top 10 with the Animals at number 1 with House Of the Rising Sun, Cliff Richard at number 2 with Constantly, The Beatles at number 3 with the title track from the movie A Hard Day's Night, Wayne Newton at number 4 with his version of the Platters song Only You, PJ Proby at number 5 with his version of an 1933 song Hold Me, Sounds incorporated at number 6 with The Spartans, Rob EG at number 7 with When You're Near, the boy from Moorooka Billy Thorpe and the Aztecs at number 8 with their version of Rufus Thomas song Mashed Potato, The Beatles at number 9 with their version of the Carl Perkins song Matchbox and the Rolling Stones at number 10 with their version of the Valentinos song that was recorded at Chess Studio on their first US tour June that year It's All Over Now.
