Even The Good Girls Will Cry Melissa Auf der Maur

This is the memoir of Canadian musician and member of the American band Hole Melissa Auf Der Maur and in the book she talks about her upbringing in Monteal Canada, going overseas trip for a year with her mother, taking an interest in photography, played in a band called Tinker, joining the American female rock band Hole in 1994 which she was on 1 album Celebrity Skin as well as the hit singles including Malibu as she was with them until 1990, playing with the Smashing Pumpkins, working with Marilyn Manson, Sinead O'Connor, Sonic Youth and many others. It is FANTASTIC and BRILLIANT with FANTASTIC and BRILLIANT stories as well as very impressive and very entertaining which it is well worth a read. Melissa is doing a conversation with Lisa Christiansen at the Vancouver Writers Festival tomorrow and in Philadelphia with Alex Auder on May 7th and she is having a exhibition of her photos in the 90's decade happening in September in Ontario Canada. This is a must for 90's music fans and I give it 4 stars as it's in the shops now so please do yourselves a favour and BUY IT which you will be impressed and amazed.

Vale Peter Flanagan(the Fauns/The Flanagans)

Peter Flanagan member of legendary Australian singing family group the Fauns aka the The Flanagans passed away on September 2nd aged 73 at the Royal North Shore Hospital in Sydney. Peter along with brother Paul and Sister Margaret began as the Fauns in 1959 as they had been doing classical music training which they released 3 singles on the Leedon label- Dance With Me/Don't Take the Stars, We Should Be Together/While Susan Sleeps and Nursery Rhymes Rock and as the Flanagans they released 4 singles on the HMV label-He/Wonderland Of Love and Dreams(1965), Follow the Wind/Land OF Beyond(1965), You Were Meant FOr Me/That's How Man Began(1966) and This is My Song/For Bobby(1967). the group did appearances on Bandstand,Six O'Clock Rock, Teen Time, The Johnny O'Keefe Show, Sing Sing Sing, the Mike Walsh Show, IMT, Revue 61, Revue 62 and many others as well as performing on the Matt Munro TV special in 1966 as well as performing in the clubs too as well as co writing the song...
