Live Again Chain

In 1972 iconic Australian blues band Chain released the album Live Again which it was recorded at Channel 9 Studios TCS (Television Sound) with the line up of Phil Manning, Warren "The Pig" Morgan, Glyn Mason, Barry Sullivan(Big Goose) and Barry Harvey(Little Goose) which that line up only lasted 8 weeks as there had been some line up changes during the period having achieve the great success in 1971 with the line up of Matt Taylor, Manning, Sullivan and Harvey doing the iconic album Towards the Blues and the hit single Black and Blue broke up and the album wasn't released until October 1972 which the tracks on the album original songs including 2 written by Warren The Pig Morgan and also it is now out on CD by Aztec Records. Besides the original tracks that was on the album there is bonus tracks which has a live recording in Sydney in 1970 with the line up of Manning, Mason, Morgan, Harvey and Sullivan which has a version of the Elvis Presley song Jailhouse Rock as well as original songs. It is FANTASTIC and BRILLIANT with FANTASTIC songs which holds up very well and still sound great today as it did back then with great effort again by Gil Matthews from Billy Thorpe and the Aztecs with Ian McFarlane doing the liner notes. Phil Manning still performs on his own as well as Chain with Matt Taylor, Warren Morgan performs with John Paul Young, Barry Sullivan passed away in 2003, Barry Harvey doesn't perform anymore and Glyn performs with Lindsay Field (John Farnham Band) and Sam See(Sherbet/Fraternity) as the Pardoners as well as Field See and Mason and also Chain should be considered for an ARIA Hall of Fame for the impact they have done for Australian rock introducing blues to Australian rock fans and also being the only Australian blues act to have a big hit single on the charts. This is a must for Australian rock fans as well as fans of Chain and I give it 4 stars which you can get it on the Aztec Records website so please do yourselves a favour and BUY IT which you will be impressed and amazed.
