The Deb
This afternoon I went to the Events Cinema Carindale to see the new Australian movie The Deb. Mevea (Charlotte MacInnes) who attends an girls school in Sydney is expelled after bearing her breasts and goes to a country town called Dunburn where her cousin Taylah Simpkin(Natalie Abbott) who helps on the farm lives with her father Rick(Shane Jacobson) who is the Mayor of the town and Taylah signs up for the Deb (debutant ball) which Mavea and Taylah meet after many years which Mavea puts the ball down as well as the town but eventually fits in which Taylah wants to find a date and there is interesting people in the town including Janette (Rebel Wilson) who is a hairdresser who also manages The Pixie Cups amd Shell (Tara Morice) who is charge of the Deb who knows Rick and it gets interesting. It is FANTASTIC, Very Impressive and Very Entertaining with great music despite some words in the songs with FANTASTIC acting by Shane Jacobsen, Tara Morice, Rebel Wilson who also directed it as well as producing it with Amanda Ghost, Gregor Cameron, Greer Simpkin and David Jowsey, Charlotte MacInnes, Natalie Abbott, Julian McMahon in one of his final roles playing the Prime Minister(which those who are not are aware that his father Sir William McMahon was Prime Minister of Australia from 1971-72) and Steph Tisdell. It is an feel good Australia musical movie and it blends very well which it is well worth seeing. I give this 4 stars as it's in the cinemas now and please do yourselves an favour and see the movie which you will be impressed and amazed. Support Australian movies please.
