Michael

This afternoon I went to the Events Cinema in Carindale where I saw the movie Michael which it's about the iconic American singer Michael Jackson. It's 1966 in Gary Indiana 8 year old Michael Jackson(Juliano Krue Valdi/Jaafar Jackson) is rehearsing with his brothers who would become the Jackson 5 as well as starting to play gigs including an performance supporting Gladys Knight and the Pips their father Joe (Colman Domingo) meets Suzanne De Passe (Laura Harrier) who works for Motown Records that would the Jackson 5 to record for the label and would achiving success with I Want You Back, ABC and I'll Be There which alos leads the Jackson Family includign their mother Katherine (Nia Long) moving to California and in the late 70's Michael wants to do a solo album working with Quincy Jones which turns out to be Off The Wall despite Joseph holding him back and after the success Off The Wall Michael hires a new attorney name John Branca (Miles Teller) who has Joseph fired by fax and Michael starts working on a new album which would be Thriller as it would become one of the biggest selling albums of all time and then it gets interesting including his relationship with his father. It is FANTASTIC, Very Impressive and Very entertaining with FANTASTIC acting by Jaafar Jackson who is Michael jackson's nephew through brother Jermaine, Nia Long, Mike Meyers, Miles Teller, Colman Somingo, Julian Krue Valdi and Jessica Sula. It was directed by Antoine Fuqua who is the nephew of Harvery Fuqua who was from the 50's singing group the Moonglows who had a connection with Motown as well as being a songwriter and record producer and produced by John Branca, Graham King and John McClain and also the Jackson Family were also involved in the behind the scenes too. It's been nearly 17 years since the passing of Michael Jackson but the great music he made with both his brothers and solo work live on forever and here in Brisbane at the moment there is the musical about him MJ which is performing at QPAC which will last until late May and also it great to see the interest in Michael Jackson happening because of those 2 things. It is well worth seeing and I give it 4 stars as it's in the cinemas now so please do yourselves a favour and SEE IT which you will be impressed and amazed.
