This is from the Courier Mail January 1st 1965 (60 Years ago today) and this was the 4BK Top 40 charts with The Beatles at number 1 with the double sided I Feel Fine/She's A Woman, Julie Rogers at number 2 with the Wedding, Cliff Richard at number 3 with the song he wrote with Bruce Welch and Hank Marvin of the Shadows which was also from the movie Wonderful Life On The Beach and The Kinks at number 4 with All Day and All Of The Night. The New entries in the charts that week were Petula Clark at number 21 with the song written by Tony Hatch Downtown and the Drifters at number 35 with the song written by Barry Mann and Cynthia Weil with Bert Berns producing it Saturday Night At The Movies and the Australian and New Zealand acts in the charts that week were The Blue Jays who backed up Tony Worsley at number 12 with Pathfinder, Moorooka boy Billy Thorpe and the Aztecs at number 16 with their version of the Fats Domino song Sick and Tired, Jay Justin at number 19 with Reminiscing, Lucky Starr at number 23 with the Three Trees, Little Pattie at number 25 with the song written by Jay Justin and Joe Halford Surfin Time Again, Bryan Davies at number 30 with the song written by Barry Gibb of the Bee Gees I Don't Like To Be Alone and New Zealand group Ray Columbus and the Invaders at number 38 with She's A Mod which was an cover of the Senators song.
