Boombox 80's @ Carina Leagues Club

Last night I went to Carina Leagues Club for New Years Eve where I saw Boombox 80's doing songs of the 80's which it was my first time seeing them. Dad took me to the club, went to the Dine Restaurant where I had steak, chips and Salad for dinner, drank Coke With No Sugar, read Anthony Field book and use mobile. The show started after 8pm with Boombox 80's coming on stage doing the classic hits from the 80's by the B-52's, Belinda Carlisle, Madonna, Starship, Whitney Houston, Duran Duran,Guns N Roses, Van Halen and many others which in the 3 sets the band members which wearing the gear people wore in the 80's and during the first interval the fireworks went off at 9pm and then at midnight to celebrate the new year which the show ended before midnight. After the countdown bought myself an Coke With Ni Sugar, drank it, Dad picked me up and came home. It was an FANTASTIC show and the band were FANTASTIC doing the songs from the 80's which they did it so well as well as singing great and playing great and everyone had a great time including myself which I look forward to see the band again in the future.

Vale Peter Flanagan(the Fauns/The Flanagans)

Peter Flanagan member of legendary Australian singing family group the Fauns aka the The Flanagans passed away on September 2nd aged 73 at the Royal North Shore Hospital in Sydney. Peter along with brother Paul and Sister Margaret began as the Fauns in 1959 as they had been doing classical music training which they released 3 singles on the Leedon label- Dance With Me/Don't Take the Stars, We Should Be Together/While Susan Sleeps and Nursery Rhymes Rock and as the Flanagans they released 4 singles on the HMV label-He/Wonderland Of Love and Dreams(1965), Follow the Wind/Land OF Beyond(1965), You Were Meant FOr Me/That's How Man Began(1966) and This is My Song/For Bobby(1967). the group did appearances on Bandstand,Six O'Clock Rock, Teen Time, The Johnny O'Keefe Show, Sing Sing Sing, the Mike Walsh Show, IMT, Revue 61, Revue 62 and many others as well as performing on the Matt Munro TV special in 1966 as well as performing in the clubs too as well as co writing the song...

This is the book about 2 iconic Australian music shows that were on Channel 0 (now Channel 10)back in the 60's The Go Show on August 4th 1964 which lasted for 3 years and 222 episodes until September 17th 1967 and Kommotion hosted by Ken Sparkes was on from December 13th 1965 until September 28th 1967 after 356 episodes and in the book it has the info about both shows as well as episode guides as well the discography of both the Go label and the Kommotion label and the people who worked on Kommotion including Denise Drysdale and Molly Meldrum and many others including some memorabilla and photos of the artists.
