A Complete Unknown

This afternoon I went to the Events Cinema in Carindale to see the biographical movie A Complete Unknown which it's about the iconic American singer-songwriter Bob Dylan. It's New York 1961 an 19 year old man named Bob Dylan (Timothee Chamalet) arrives in New York from Minnesota with his guitar and visits folk singer Woody Guthrie (Scoot McNairy) in hospital where he also meets fellow folk singer Pete Seeger(Edward Norton) which he stays with Pete and his family and Bob starts getting into the folk music scene in New York where he meets Sylvie Russo (Elle Fanning) at an concert as well as meeting fellow folk singer Joan Baez(Monica Barbaro) which he gets into relationships with them . He also starts recording for Columbia Records which he starts to achieve success which he is finding it hard to deal with it and then in 1965 wants to change his music as he goes Electric which starts to gets interesting. It is AMAZING, BRILLIANT and SUPERB with Top and Amazing acting by Timothee Chamalet which he was one of the producers for the movie, Monica Barbaro, Edward Norton, Elle Fanning, Scoot McNairy, Boyd Halbrook, Dan Folger and Eriko Hatsune. It is directed by James Mangold who also co wrote the screenplay with Jay Cocks as well as along with Timothee Chamalet, Peter Jaysen, Alex Heineman, Bob Bookman, Alan Gasmer, Jeff Rosen and Fred Berger and it's nominated for 8 Awards at the Upcoming Academy Awards icluding Timothee Chamalet for Best Actor, Edward Norton for Best Supporting Actor and Monica Barbaro for Best Supporting Actress. I am giving this 5 stars as it's in the cinemas now so do yourselves an favour and SEE IT which you will be impressed and amazed as it is an must for Bob Dylan fans.

Peter Flanagan member of legendary Australian singing family group the Fauns aka the The Flanagans passed away on September 2nd aged 73 at the Royal North Shore Hospital in Sydney. Peter along with brother Paul and Sister Margaret began as the Fauns in 1959 as they had been doing classical music training which they released 3 singles on the Leedon label- Dance With Me/Don't Take the Stars, We Should Be Together/While Susan Sleeps and Nursery Rhymes Rock and as the Flanagans they released 4 singles on the HMV label-He/Wonderland Of Love and Dreams(1965), Follow the Wind/Land OF Beyond(1965), You Were Meant FOr Me/That's How Man Began(1966) and This is My Song/For Bobby(1967). the group did appearances on Bandstand,Six O'Clock Rock, Teen Time, The Johnny O'Keefe Show, Sing Sing Sing, the Mike Walsh Show, IMT, Revue 61, Revue 62 and many others as well as performing on the Matt Munro TV special in 1966 as well as performing in the clubs too as well as co writing the song...
