The Radiators Queensland Shows 2024

In August and September 2024 legendary Australian rock band The Radiators are doing shows in Queensland which they are doing shows in Brisbane and Sunshine Coast and the band has 2 original founding members Geoff Turner and Brian Nichol as well as Mark Lucas on drums since 1989 and since 2021 Martin Cilia who played with iconic Australian groups The Atlantics and Mental As Anything on guitar. The band will perform their classic hits from the late 70's and 80's including Comin Home, No Tragedy and One Touch and if you want to go and see them please do yourselves an favour and SEE THEM which you will be impressed and amazed as well as may it bring back memories for those grew up in the late 70's and 80's in the days of Pub rock and Countdown and those who were not born in the era but have an interest in it it will be an experience.

This afternoon I went to the Events Cinema to see the movie The Garfield Movie. Garfield (Chris Pratt) who had been abandoned by his father Vic(Samuel L Jackson) in the alley meets Jon Arbuckle (Nicholas Hoult) at an restaruant lives with Jon and Jon's dog Odie(Harvey Guillen) and one night they both get kidnapped by 2 dogs Roland (Brett Goldstein) and Nolan (Bowen Yang) which they are taken to an abandoned mall which they are rescued by Vic who Garfield resents after being abandoned in the alley. Jinx (Hannah Waddingham) who was an former crew member of Vic's who she blames for leaving her behind during an break which she was caught and imprisoned orders Vic, Garfield and Odie if she was to forgive Vic to break into Lactose Farms to steal large quantity of milk and then it gets interesting. This is the new album by American band Bon Jovi and it was recorded at Ocean View Studios in Nashville Tennessee and Multiview Studios Los Angeles California. The songs are written by Jon Bon Jovi which he wrote by himself, 1 with Ed Sheeran, some with singer-songwriter John Shanks and Billy Falcon, 1 with Ryan Tedder from the American group OneRepublic, Andrew DeRoberts and Nick Long from the band Dark Waves and amongst others. It is an FANTASTIC album with great songs as well as great singing and playing by the band which it was produced by Jon Bon Jovi, John Shanks and Joel Rubel and it is in the Australian charts at number 4 amnd number 3 in the UK. There is an 4 part documentary about the band is out on the Hulu Channel at the moment and this is an must for Bon Jovi fans which I give it 4 stars as it's in the shops now so do yourselves an favour and BUY IT which you will be impressed and amazed.

Today I went to Twin Towns to see legendary Australian singer Issi Dye and the Legends of Rock and Roll Show which had Glenn Douglas, Lisa Stewart, Peter Trianitis and Sharon Lee and I had only saw Issi and Glenn 5 days ago during Cooly Rocks On at the Greenmount Surf CLub. I caught the bus to Westfield and then to South Bank, caught train to Varsity Lakes, caught the bus to Coolangatta, rang Dad and walk to Twin Towns. Went to the showroom and write notes. The show started after 11.05am with Issi coming on stage with Glenn Douglas on guitar doing 2 songs and then doing the Everly brothers stuff, Lisa Stewart came on stage which she did 3 of the Dolly Parton classics, Peter Triantis who is an Elvis tribute performer from Melbourne sang an few Elvis songs which included Viva Las Vegas which Issi sang with him, Issi sang She's My Baby, Sharon Lee came on stage doing 3 of the Olivia Newton John classics and the Abba song Dancing Queen with her 15 year old daughter Siloh which th

On Saturday night June 8th I went to the Elvis Precinct to see the Creedence Clearwater Revival tribute act Creedence Clearwater Survival who are from Victoria and it was my first time seeing them. I stopped at Montezuma's Coolangatta where I had Nachos for dinner, drank Pepsi Max, watch the car cruisers on the street, bought Chocolate Rianbow Royale from Baskin and Robbins, ate it, went to the Elvis Precinct, went inside, write notes and use mobile which Dad rang. On Saturday afternoon June 8th I went to the Elvis precinct to see the Beatles tribute act the Beatnix who have been around since 1980 and I first saw them 30 years ago when they played at the South Bank Piazza as it was then 30 Years when the Beatles toured Australia which Brisbane radio Station 4KQ use to do jukebox Saturday Night Live. The show started at 3pm which the group came on wearing the gear that the Beatles wore in 1965 and they performed the songs from 1963-65 including I Want To Hold Your Hand, A Hard Day's Night, She Loves You, I Feel Fine, Help and All My loving as well as showing clips of girls screaming from the Ed Sullivan Show as well as adverts of the Beatnix and there was an inteval which I drank Coke with No Sugar, went back inside and use mobile. On Saturday morning June 8th I went to the Queen Elizabeth Park Stage where I saw the Pick Me Ups who are an duo from Perth and it was my first time seeing them. the show started at 9.30am which for the next hour and 15 minutes they did an set which was an mixture of songs they wrote as well as covers of Jazz, blues and boogie numbers by Elvis, Otis Spann, Wynona Carr and many others which when they did 2 Elvis songs they asked the audience what movie that the songs came form which I got one of them right when they did the song Crawfish as it was from the King Cerole movie as I knew that one. The show ended at 10.45am and It was an impressive and Fantastic set which they sounded great and played great as they did the songs very well as well as everyone in the audience were having an great time which I enjoyed it too. On Friday night June 7th I went to the Elvis Precinct to see the American Elvis tribute performer Dwight Icenhower which was my first time seeing the show. I went to the Earth n Sea in Coolangatta where I had Pizza and chips for dinner, drank Coke Coke with no Sugar, went to the ELvis Precinct, went inside, use mobile and write notes. The show started at 7.30pm with Dean Vegas doing the MC Dwight came on stage which in the first set he did the songs that Elvis did in the movies including King of The Whole Wide World, Rubberneckin as well as some of the title tracks including Love Me Tender and King Cerole and there was an interval where I had an Coke With No Sugar to drink, went inside and use mobile. On Friday June 7th I went to the Queen Elizabeth Park Stage to see the Melbourne group the Rock'A"dees which it was the second time That I saw them as the first was at the Morningside Services Club Saturday December 28th 2013. They came on stage at 1pm and for the next hour and 15 minutes they performed mainly covers of rockabilly songs by Carl Perkins, Gene Vincent, Johnny Burnette, the Stray Cats, the Wild One by Johnny O'Keefe, Johnny Kidd and the Pirates and many others and everyone in the crowd enjoying themselves and having an great time. The show finished at 2.15pm, I took photos, stopped at Maccas where I bought fries for Mum and Sundae for myself and went back to the Twin Towns Sebel. This is the from the Queensland Times June 9th 1967 and the Hoadley's Battle of the Bands was an big thing at the time when bands from every state would compete in the local ones which whatever band won would compete in the national competition in Melbourne to win an trip to England as it started from 1966 until 1972. 4IP was the sponsor of the Battle of the Bands for the Ipswich bands which was held at the Wintergarden Theatre June 15th 1967 at 7.30pm and the bands that performed there were X-ess, Flintlocks, Dwellers, Peaceful Yet, the Zodiacs, Back Porch Majority, The Tiz-Us, Hands Down, Contraband, Strangebrew and the Orbits.

On Thursday night June 6th I went to Greenmount Surf Club to see legendary Australian singer Issi Dye. I went there from Twin Towns where I had dinner with Mum and when I got there after 7pm the show had just started with Scott Cameron who did an Buddy Holly tribute show doing Maybe Baby which Issi performed songs by Bobby Darin and Cliff Richard which then Glenn joined Issi on stage doing the Roy Oribson classics including Only the Lonely, Blue Bayou., Uptown and Pretty Woman and there was an interval where I had an Coke with No Sugar and Water. The show resumed with Issi singing songs by Johnny O'Keefe and Col Joye and Glenn joined Issi back on stage doing Everly Brothers songs as well as doing songs by the Beatles, Neil Diamond and of 2 of the songs he recorded in the 70's as well as people enjoying themselves and having an great time. On Wednesday Night June 5th I attended my first Cooly Rocks On show for 2024 which I went to the Eras of Elvis show at the Elvis Precinct in Coolangatta and before going to the show stopped at the Coolangatta Hotel which i had Pork Ribs, Baked Potatoes, corn and Slaw for Dinner. Went to the Elvis Precinct, show the people ticket, sat down and use mobile. The show started after 7.30pm with Elvis tribute performer Dean Vegas who I had saw on May 31st @ Kedron Wavell doing the MC as Kay who normally does it could'nt come and the first act coming on stage which was 15 year old Charlie Gaylard which he did 2 songs, then Jack Gatto wore the leather gear that Elvis wore in the 68 Special came on stage doing an medley of Elvis songs, Damian Mullin who wore the red gear that Elvis wore in the 70's came on stage which he performed 2 songs and then Louis Brown who is from the UK came on stage doing 3 songs including Johnny Be Goode which he did it with Dean Vegas which finished the firs

It is FANTASTIC and excellent with great songs with great singing by Willie Nelson who is still sounding great at the age of 91 and among the musicians on the album including his long time harmonica player Mickey Raphael, Fred Eltringham on drums who is from the American group the Wallflowers that has Jakob Dylan son of Bob Dylan and on bass Barry Bales who plays with Alison Kraus the American country singer in the band Union Station. Willie is touring the USA this month and July with Robert Plant, Bob Dylan, Alison Krauss and Celisse which on show Mavis Staples along with Maren Morris will perform with them as well as one with Sheryl Crow and from late July until September touring w

This is the new album by legendary British singer-songwriter and guitarist Richard Thompson ands it was recorded at Applehead Studio in Woodstock New York which all the songs on the album as among the musicians on the album were Michael Jerome on Drums, David Mansfield on fiddle and his wife singer-songwriter Zara Phillips on harmony vocals. It is an Fantastic album with great songs with great singing by Richard Thompson who is still sounding great at age 75 and today(English time) Richard Thompson starts an UK tour as well as doing shows in the US and Canada in July. This is an must for Richard Thompson fans and I give it 4 stars as it's in the shops now so do yourselves an favour and BUY IT which you will be impressed and amazed.
