Issi Dye @ Greenmount Surf Club
On Thursday night June 6th I went to Greenmount Surf Club to see legendary Australian singer Issi Dye. I went there from Twin Towns where I had dinner with Mum and when I got there after 7pm the show had just started with Scott Cameron who did an Buddy Holly tribute show doing Maybe Baby which Issi performed songs by Bobby Darin and Cliff Richard which then Glenn joined Issi on stage doing the Roy Oribson classics including Only the Lonely, Blue Bayou., Uptown and Pretty Woman and there was an interval where I had an Coke with No Sugar and Water. The show resumed with Issi singing songs by Johnny O'Keefe and Col Joye and Glenn joined Issi back on stage doing Everly Brothers songs as well as doing songs by the Beatles, Neil Diamond and of 2 of the songs he recorded in the 70's as well as people enjoying themselves and having an great time. The show finished before 9pm which Issi and Glenn had CD's on sale as well as people having photos with them including me having photos with them, walk back to Twin Towns to catch up with Mum and going back to the Twin Towns Sebel. It was an FANTASTIC show which everyone had an great time including myself and Issi still singing great as ever as well as entertaining as ever giving the crowd an great time as well as Glenn doing an great job doing the Roy orbison and Everly Brothers segment too.
