This afternoon I went to the Dendy Cinema Coorparoo to see the documentary In Restless Dreams The Music of Paul Simon which it's about the iconic American singer-songwriter Paul Simon and in the documentary it shows the making of his latest album 7 Psalms as well as talking about his career including his upbringing in New York, meeting Art Garfunkel, singing as Tom and Jerry which they had the hit Hey Schoolgirl, getting into folk music, working in the clubs in London, achieving success with Art Garfunkel as Simon and Garfunkel with hits like the Sounds of Silence, Mrs Robinson and Bridge Over Troubled Water, the duo breaking up in 1970, going to an solo career which would included Still Crazy After All These Years and the iconic Graceland album, getting back with Garfunkel in 1981 which lasted for nearly 2 years as well as interviews with Edie Brickell his wife and Lorne Michaels producer of Saturday Night Live and many others. It is AWESOME, BRILLIANT and SUPERB with Amazing Stories as well as showing footage and photos which it's well worth seeing. It is directed by Alex Gibney and this an must for Paul Simon fans and I give it 5 stars as it's in the cinemas hopefully in some areas so do yourselves an favour and SEE IT which you will be impressed and amazed.
