Songwriter Johnny Cash
In 1993 legendary American country singer-songwriter Johnny Cash was recording an series of songs he wrote as demos at LSI Studios at an time where he wasn't recording for an label prior to meeting Rick Rubin and the songs had been written decades before including 2 in the 70's and instead he made the American Recordings with Rick Rubin which some of the songs were on the album so the tapes were shelved. After rediscovering the demos his son John Carter Cash along producer David R Ferguson stripped them back to just the vocals and guitar before new recorded parts were overdubbed by an new band that included Marty Stuart and David Roe. It is FANTASTIC with the songs are just FANTASTIC and Johnny Cash sounded great on those recordings which it is well worth listening too. Besides from John Carter Cash, his Father and David R Ferguson the others producers on the album are Mike Daniels and Josh Matas. Johnny Cash passed away nearly 21 years ago but the great music he made lives on forever and great to hear stuff of his having not been released but is now out which will be around too. This is an must for Johnny Cash fans and I give it 4 stars as it's in the shops now so do yourselves an favour and BUY IT which you will be impressed and amazed.
