Dean Vegas @ Kedron Wavell

Friday Night May 31st I Went to Kedron Wavell to see Dean Vegas the Elvis tribute performer which it was the first time nearly 6 years since Saturday August 11th 2018 which I saw his show @ Wynnum RSL. I caught the bus to Chermside, walk to Kedron Wavell, went to the Kitchen, rang Dad, ordered my meal, bought Coke with No Sugar and use my mobile. Had Rump Combo for dinner, drank Coke with No Sugar, waited, ate waffles for desert as I waited more than 20 minutes, went to the Blue Pacific Room and saw Sandra, Di and Kevin. The show started at 8.02pm with Dean Vegas coming on stage wearing the black leather which in the first set performed the Elvis hits from the 50's and 60's including Viva Las Vegas, Hound Dog, All Shook Up as well as telling Elvis stories and when they were doing Little Egypt an lady from the audience came on the stage doing the movements which was great and there was an interval where I bought an Dean Vegas Gospel CD and an Dean Vegas bag as well as getting an Coke with No Sugar where I saw Barbara who is one of the staff members. In the second half Dean came on wearing the gear that Elvis wore from 1969-77 doing songs like See See Rider, Burning Love, Can't Help Falling In Love which he walked through the audience shaking hands to the audience which he shook my hand as well as ladies giving him an cuddle as well as Victoria giving flowers as well as doing medley of requested songs too. The show finished after 10pm, Dean came out to have photos taken with the fans as well as Victoria taking them too including mine, waited downstairs, Dad picked me up, stopped @ 7-11 where I got Coke With No Sugar and came. It was an FANTASTIC show which everyone had a great time including myself and Dean sounded great as well as entertained the audience for sing alongs as well as his humour doing these great songs which he does it so well as he always put on FANTASTIC shows. He will be doing MC work during Cooly Rocks On for the Elvis shows in the Marquee and if you have not seen Dean live please do yourselves an favour and SEE HIM which you will be impressed and amazed. Vale Peter Flanagan(the Fauns/The Flanagans)

Peter Flanagan member of legendary Australian singing family group the Fauns aka the The Flanagans passed away on September 2nd aged 73 at the Royal North Shore Hospital in Sydney. Peter along with brother Paul and Sister Margaret began as the Fauns in 1959 as they had been doing classical music training which they released 3 singles on the Leedon label- Dance With Me/Don't Take the Stars, We Should Be Together/While Susan Sleeps and Nursery Rhymes Rock and as the Flanagans they released 4 singles on the HMV label-He/Wonderland Of Love and Dreams(1965), Follow the Wind/Land OF Beyond(1965), You Were Meant FOr Me/That's How Man Began(1966) and This is My Song/For Bobby(1967). the group did appearances on Bandstand,Six O'Clock Rock, Teen Time, The Johnny O'Keefe Show, Sing Sing Sing, the Mike Walsh Show, IMT, Revue 61, Revue 62 and many others as well as performing on the Matt Munro TV special in 1966 as well as performing in the clubs too as well as co writing the song

Roland Storm , Bryan Davies and the Mighty Guys show @ South Tweed Sports Club June 6th 2015

On Saturday June 6th I went to the South Tweed Sports Club in the evening where I saw legendary Australian singers Roland Storm and Bryan Davies as well as the rock group the Mighty Guys. Dad took me to the Club, signed in, went inside, bought an Pepsi max, drank it, saw Mick Hamilton(had not seen since Sunday June 9th 2013) and Leon Isackson and waited. The show started after 8pm with the Mighty Guys doing a few songs which were classic rock n roll songs with lead vocals done by both Leon Isackson and Mick Hamilton and then Roland Storm and Bryan Davies came on stage which they did a few songs together which then Roland did his set which he performed an set of classic rock songs as well as doing his hit from 1992 with Rolling With the Flow and there was an interval which Roland was selling CD's as I already have them but he came which people bought them as well as seeing Mike Lawler which I mentioned to him about the Rajahs version of a Beatles song on the Australia Salutes the
