4BK Top 10 June 1966

This is from the Telegraph June 22nd 1966 and this was the 4BK top 10 with Bobby and Laurie at number 1 with their version of the Roger Miller song Hitch Hiker which the 2 musicians who played on the song went on to form Daddy Cool Gary Young and Wayne Duncan, The Easybeats at number 2 with Come and See Her, Manfred Mann at number 3 with Pretty Flamingo which future Cream member Jack Bruce who was an member for a short time played on it, Crispian St Peters at number 4 with the Piped Piper, Nancy Sinatra at number 5 with How Does That Grab You Darlin, Bob Lind at number 6 with Elusive Butterfly, The who at number 7 with Subsitute, the Beach Boys at number 8 with their version of the tradional folk song which Al Jardine suggested to Brian Wilson to do Sloop John B which was from the iconic Pet Sounds album, Roy Orbison at number 9 with Twinkle Toes and the Rolling Stones who are currently on tour in America at number 10 with Paint It Black which Brian Jones playing sitar on it.
