Eras of Elvis @ the Elvis Precinct

On Wednesday Night June 5th I attended my first Cooly Rocks On show for 2024 which I went to the Eras of Elvis show at the Elvis Precinct in Coolangatta and before going to the show stopped at the Coolangatta Hotel which i had Pork Ribs, Baked Potatoes, corn and Slaw for Dinner. Went to the Elvis Precinct, show the people ticket, sat down and use mobile. The show started after 7.30pm with Elvis tribute performer Dean Vegas who I had saw on May 31st @ Kedron Wavell doing the MC as Kay who normally does it could'nt come and the first act coming on stage which was 15 year old Charlie Gaylard which he did 2 songs, then Jack Gatto wore the leather gear that Elvis wore in the 68 Special came on stage doing an medley of Elvis songs, Damian Mullin who wore the red gear that Elvis wore in the 70's came on stage which he performed 2 songs and then Louis Brown who is from the UK came on stage doing 3 songs including Johnny Be Goode which he did it with Dean Vegas which finished the first set, Saw my cousin Keryn and her Husband Wayne who are in the Gold Coast at the moment, bought Coke with No Sugar and Stubby Holder , drank Coke with No Sugar, use mobile and went inside. Charlie came back on which he did 2 songs, Jack Gatto did 2 songs including If I Can Dream, Damian Mullin wearing the white gear that Elvis wore in the 70's perfomed 2 songs, Louis Brown came on which he did 2 songs,Charlie, Damian, Louis and jack with Riley Anderson did one song each and then it ended with Can't Help Falling In Love which all of them as well as Dean sang it. The show ended after 09.05pm, rang Mum, went to Woolworths where I bought milk and walk back to Twin Towns Sebel. It was FANTASTIC and AWESOME which all the guys performed and sounded great which Charlie was very impressive and FANTASTIC doing the movements considering he's 15 he did so very well and Louis was FANTASTIC and Very impressive too as well as very entertaining giving the audience an great time which I hope they come back to Cooly Rocks On next year. Vale Peter Flanagan(the Fauns/The Flanagans)

Peter Flanagan member of legendary Australian singing family group the Fauns aka the The Flanagans passed away on September 2nd aged 73 at the Royal North Shore Hospital in Sydney. Peter along with brother Paul and Sister Margaret began as the Fauns in 1959 as they had been doing classical music training which they released 3 singles on the Leedon label- Dance With Me/Don't Take the Stars, We Should Be Together/While Susan Sleeps and Nursery Rhymes Rock and as the Flanagans they released 4 singles on the HMV label-He/Wonderland Of Love and Dreams(1965), Follow the Wind/Land OF Beyond(1965), You Were Meant FOr Me/That's How Man Began(1966) and This is My Song/For Bobby(1967). the group did appearances on Bandstand,Six O'Clock Rock, Teen Time, The Johnny O'Keefe Show, Sing Sing Sing, the Mike Walsh Show, IMT, Revue 61, Revue 62 and many others as well as performing on the Matt Munro TV special in 1966 as well as performing in the clubs too as well as co writing the song

Roland Storm , Bryan Davies and the Mighty Guys show @ South Tweed Sports Club June 6th 2015

On Saturday June 6th I went to the South Tweed Sports Club in the evening where I saw legendary Australian singers Roland Storm and Bryan Davies as well as the rock group the Mighty Guys. Dad took me to the Club, signed in, went inside, bought an Pepsi max, drank it, saw Mick Hamilton(had not seen since Sunday June 9th 2013) and Leon Isackson and waited. The show started after 8pm with the Mighty Guys doing a few songs which were classic rock n roll songs with lead vocals done by both Leon Isackson and Mick Hamilton and then Roland Storm and Bryan Davies came on stage which they did a few songs together which then Roland did his set which he performed an set of classic rock songs as well as doing his hit from 1992 with Rolling With the Flow and there was an interval which Roland was selling CD's as I already have them but he came which people bought them as well as seeing Mike Lawler which I mentioned to him about the Rajahs version of a Beatles song on the Australia Salutes the
