This is from the Telegraph October 26th 1966 and this was the 4BK Top 10 with The Ray Conniff Singers at number 1 with Somewhere My Love, Donovan at number 2 with Sunshine Superman which future Led Zeppelin members John Paul Jones and Jimmy Page playing on the song, Judy Stone at number 3 with her version of the Sandy Posey song Born A Woman, The Beatles at number 4 with Eleanor Rigby/Yellow Submarine which was both from the Revolver album, BJ Thomas at number 5 with Billy and Sue, Lynne Randell at number 6 with her version of the Little Anthony and the Imperials song Goin Out of My Head, The Loved Ones at number 7 with the Loved One, The Easybeats at number 8 with the EP Easy Fever, Los Bravos at number 9 with Black Is Black and the Lovin Spoonful at number 10 with Summer In The City.

Vale Peter Flanagan(the Fauns/The Flanagans)

Peter Flanagan member of legendary Australian singing family group the Fauns aka the The Flanagans passed away on September 2nd aged 73 at the Royal North Shore Hospital in Sydney. Peter along with brother Paul and Sister Margaret began as the Fauns in 1959 as they had been doing classical music training which they released 3 singles on the Leedon label- Dance With Me/Don't Take the Stars, We Should Be Together/While Susan Sleeps and Nursery Rhymes Rock and as the Flanagans they released 4 singles on the HMV label-He/Wonderland Of Love and Dreams(1965), Follow the Wind/Land OF Beyond(1965), You Were Meant FOr Me/That's How Man Began(1966) and This is My Song/For Bobby(1967). the group did appearances on Bandstand,Six O'Clock Rock, Teen Time, The Johnny O'Keefe Show, Sing Sing Sing, the Mike Walsh Show, IMT, Revue 61, Revue 62 and many others as well as performing on the Matt Munro TV special in 1966 as well as performing in the clubs too as well as co writing the song...

Memoirs of A Piano Man by John Charter

 This is the autobiography of Australian Pianist and musician John Charter and in this book he talks about his upbringing in Kingsford (Sydney), started learning piano at age 8, playing in Australia's first rock and roll band Alan Dale and the Houserockers, playing in his own trio, forming Johnny Rebb and The Rebels with Johnny Rebb who would achieve 6 top 40 hits from 1959-60 including Hey Sheriff and Pathway To Paradise, doing the Lee Gordon tours with the Everly brothers, Fabian , The Platters and Johnny Ray, doing Bandstand and Six O'Clock Rock, working with Slim Dusty, playing in the Sydney Club  and hotel Scene , forming his own group The John Charter Group, working in Vietnam and America with Digger Revell and many others.
