The Quintessential Black Sorrows

This is the new compilation double CD by legendary Australian blues rock band The Black Sorrows and it's an double CD which has the hits they had throughout the 80's and 90's including Harley and Rose, Never Let Me Go, Chained to the Wheel, The Chosen Ones and Daughters of Glory as well as tracks from the recent albums Citizen John, Saint Georges Road and The Way We Do Business as well as the new song For Your Love. It is an FANTASTIC and BRILLIANT double CD with FANTASTIC and BRILLIANT songs which has stood the test of time and still sounding great to this day which holds up very well as great music is appreciated it.The band are still performing with Joe Camilleri who has been there from the start and will be touring around Australia throughout the remaining of this year and early 2026 which includes Twin Towns on December 6th and the Tivoli in Brisbane December 7th. and also the Black Sorrows should be inducted into the ARIA Hall Of Fame for impact they have done for Australian music. This is an must for Black Sorrows fans and I give it 4 stars as it's in the shops now so do yoruselves an favour and BUY IT which you will be impressed and amazed.

Vale Peter Flanagan(the Fauns/The Flanagans)

Peter Flanagan member of legendary Australian singing family group the Fauns aka the The Flanagans passed away on September 2nd aged 73 at the Royal North Shore Hospital in Sydney. Peter along with brother Paul and Sister Margaret began as the Fauns in 1959 as they had been doing classical music training which they released 3 singles on the Leedon label- Dance With Me/Don't Take the Stars, We Should Be Together/While Susan Sleeps and Nursery Rhymes Rock and as the Flanagans they released 4 singles on the HMV label-He/Wonderland Of Love and Dreams(1965), Follow the Wind/Land OF Beyond(1965), You Were Meant FOr Me/That's How Man Began(1966) and This is My Song/For Bobby(1967). the group did appearances on Bandstand,Six O'Clock Rock, Teen Time, The Johnny O'Keefe Show, Sing Sing Sing, the Mike Walsh Show, IMT, Revue 61, Revue 62 and many others as well as performing on the Matt Munro TV special in 1966 as well as performing in the clubs too as well as co writing the song...

 This is the autobiography of Australian Pianist and musician John Charter and in this book he talks about his upbringing in Kingsford (Sydney), started learning piano at age 8, playing in Australia's first rock and roll band Alan Dale and the Houserockers, playing in his own trio, forming Johnny Rebb and The Rebels with Johnny Rebb who would achieve 6 top 40 hits from 1959-60 including Hey Sheriff and Pathway To Paradise, doing the Lee Gordon tours with the Everly brothers, Fabian , The Platters and Johnny Ray, doing Bandstand and Six O'Clock Rock, working with Slim Dusty, playing in the Sydney Club  and hotel Scene , forming his own group The John Charter Group, working in Vietnam and America with Digger Revell and many others.
