Truly Lionel Richie

This is the autobiography of American singer Lionel Richie and in this book he talked about his upbringing in Tuskegee Alabama, got a saxophone, moved to Joliet Illinois, played in a group called the Mystics, formed the Commodores who would achieve success with hits including Three Times A Lady, Easy and Still, going to a successful solo career with hits including All Night Long, Truly, Endless Love, Dancing On The Ceiling, Say You Say Me, Hello and many others, his 2 marriages, encounters with Berry Gordy, Frank Sinatra, Diana Ross, Kenny Rogers, Michael Jackson and many others. It's AWESOME, AMAZING, BRILLIANT and SUPERB with FANTASTIC and Amazing stories as well as very impressive and very entertaining which it is well worth a read. Lionel is still on American Idol as one of the judges and he is performing in Las Vegas this month at the Encore Theatre as well as 1 show in Mexico in December. This is a must for Lionel Richie fans and I give it 5 stars as it's in the shops now so do yourselves a favour and BUY IT which you will be impressed and amazed.

Vale Peter Flanagan(the Fauns/The Flanagans)

Peter Flanagan member of legendary Australian singing family group the Fauns aka the The Flanagans passed away on September 2nd aged 73 at the Royal North Shore Hospital in Sydney. Peter along with brother Paul and Sister Margaret began as the Fauns in 1959 as they had been doing classical music training which they released 3 singles on the Leedon label- Dance With Me/Don't Take the Stars, We Should Be Together/While Susan Sleeps and Nursery Rhymes Rock and as the Flanagans they released 4 singles on the HMV label-He/Wonderland Of Love and Dreams(1965), Follow the Wind/Land OF Beyond(1965), You Were Meant FOr Me/That's How Man Began(1966) and This is My Song/For Bobby(1967). the group did appearances on Bandstand,Six O'Clock Rock, Teen Time, The Johnny O'Keefe Show, Sing Sing Sing, the Mike Walsh Show, IMT, Revue 61, Revue 62 and many others as well as performing on the Matt Munro TV special in 1966 as well as performing in the clubs too as well as co writing the song...

 This is the autobiography of Australian Pianist and musician John Charter and in this book he talks about his upbringing in Kingsford (Sydney), started learning piano at age 8, playing in Australia's first rock and roll band Alan Dale and the Houserockers, playing in his own trio, forming Johnny Rebb and The Rebels with Johnny Rebb who would achieve 6 top 40 hits from 1959-60 including Hey Sheriff and Pathway To Paradise, doing the Lee Gordon tours with the Everly brothers, Fabian , The Platters and Johnny Ray, doing Bandstand and Six O'Clock Rock, working with Slim Dusty, playing in the Sydney Club  and hotel Scene , forming his own group The John Charter Group, working in Vietnam and America with Digger Revell and many others.
