Softly As I Leave You by Priscilla Beaulieu Presley

This is the memior of actress and businesswoman Priscilla Bealieu Presley and in this book she talks about her life with Elvis Presley, leaving him in the early 70's which ended in divorce but still had a love for one another, Elvis' passing in 1977, becoming a single mother to Lisa Marie, becoming an businesswoman, designer, legislative adovcate and actress, saving Graceland which she transferred it to an international destination for tourists as well as help guiding the devlopement of Elvis Presley Enterprises, playing Jenna Wade in the American TV show Dallas, doing the Naked Gun movies, the loss of her grandson in 2020 and daughter Lisa Marie Presley in 2023, encounters with Larry Hagman, Patrick Duffy, Leslie Nielsen, Burgess Meredith and many others. It is FANTASTIC, BRILLIANT and SUPERB with FANTASTIC and AMAZING stories as well as touching, sad , very impresive and very entertaining which it is well worth a read. Priscilla will be coming to Australia in November for An Audience With Priscilla Presley show which will include Brisbane at QPAC on November 24th which she will talk about her life and it will be experience for anyone who would like to see it. This is a must for Priscilla Presley fans as well as Elvis fans and I give it 5 stars as it's in the shops now so do yourselves an favour and BUY IT which you will be impressed and amazed which you will love the book.

Vale Peter Flanagan(the Fauns/The Flanagans)

Peter Flanagan member of legendary Australian singing family group the Fauns aka the The Flanagans passed away on September 2nd aged 73 at the Royal North Shore Hospital in Sydney. Peter along with brother Paul and Sister Margaret began as the Fauns in 1959 as they had been doing classical music training which they released 3 singles on the Leedon label- Dance With Me/Don't Take the Stars, We Should Be Together/While Susan Sleeps and Nursery Rhymes Rock and as the Flanagans they released 4 singles on the HMV label-He/Wonderland Of Love and Dreams(1965), Follow the Wind/Land OF Beyond(1965), You Were Meant FOr Me/That's How Man Began(1966) and This is My Song/For Bobby(1967). the group did appearances on Bandstand,Six O'Clock Rock, Teen Time, The Johnny O'Keefe Show, Sing Sing Sing, the Mike Walsh Show, IMT, Revue 61, Revue 62 and many others as well as performing on the Matt Munro TV special in 1966 as well as performing in the clubs too as well as co writing the song...

 This is the autobiography of Australian Pianist and musician John Charter and in this book he talks about his upbringing in Kingsford (Sydney), started learning piano at age 8, playing in Australia's first rock and roll band Alan Dale and the Houserockers, playing in his own trio, forming Johnny Rebb and The Rebels with Johnny Rebb who would achieve 6 top 40 hits from 1959-60 including Hey Sheriff and Pathway To Paradise, doing the Lee Gordon tours with the Everly brothers, Fabian , The Platters and Johnny Ray, doing Bandstand and Six O'Clock Rock, working with Slim Dusty, playing in the Sydney Club  and hotel Scene , forming his own group The John Charter Group, working in Vietnam and America with Digger Revell and many others.
