4KQ June 1966

This is from the Redcliffe Herald June 1st 1966 and long before known as the Good Times and Great Classic Hits station as well as for a time in the 80's an country music station 4KQ was one of Brisbane's popular radio stations at the time in the 60's which was known as the Good Music Station as it was playing easy listening music by people like Herb Alpert and the Tijuana Brass which among their disc jockeys were Bruce Ross, Bill Riner, Peter Clarke and Des Allen as actually Bill Riner got a mention by Pete Rudder who was interviewed by Murray Shoring on the final night of 4KQ when it ended as well as BBQ Bob Gallagher mentioned him in the special 75 Year Journey an Brisbane Icon about 4KQ on Sunday June 26th 2022 and the final night June 30th 2022 and also Bruce Ross was mentioned also on the final night when Ian Skippen was interviewed by Murray Shoring.

In August and September 2025 legendary British rock group Hermans Hermits are touring Australia which they will be performing in Queensland, NSW, ACT, Western Australia and Victoria and the group with original member and drummer Barry Whitwam, Jamie Thurston on bass guitar and vocals, John Summerton on guitar and vocals and Tony Young on Keyboards and vocals will perform many of their classic hits from the 60's including I'm Into Something Good, Mrs Brown You've Got A Lovely Daughter, No Milk Today, There's A Kind Of Hush, My Sentimental Friend and many others.
