Hey Get Rhythm @ Twin Towns

On Saturday night June 6th I went to Twin Towns to see the tribute show to iconic American country singers Johnny Cash and June Carter called Hey Get Rhythm which has Mark Caliguri and his wife Joanne and it was my first time seeing the show. The show started at 8pm which Mark and Joanne coming out as they did 2 sets which in the first set performed Johnny's early hits in the 50's as well as June's songs including Juke Box Blues which some of the audience members came on stage and wore hats as well as for some songs Robert on horn came on stage as well as showing clips of Johnny and June on the screen both sides of the stage and there was a interval where I had a Pepsi Max and Boost chocolate. In the second set Mark and Joanne came back on stage which they did the songs of the 60's and 70's as well as one of Johnny's recordings in the 2000's and George an keyboardist joined the band on stage as well as an audience member came on stage when they were doing the song Daddy Sang Bass to sing the bass part as well as Mark talking about Johnny Cash being in Australia in 1991 and meeting an fan in hospital which they showed a clip of that which was amazing and they also perform I've Been Everywhere which Johnny did a version of the song in the early 60's . The show finished at about 10.25pm which Mark and Joanne came out to meet the fans which they got photos with them including myself, met Mum down stairs and walk back to Twin Towns Mantra. It was an FANTASTIC show and Mark and Joanne sounded and sanged great as well as the back up band played great too which they did an great job doing those songs. I look forward to see the show back in Queensland in the future and if you have not seen the show please do yosurselves an avour and SEE It which you wo; be impressed and amazed. Hermans Hermits Australian Tour 2025

In August and September 2025 legendary British rock group Hermans Hermits are touring Australia which they will be performing in Queensland, NSW, ACT, Western Australia and Victoria and the group with original member and drummer Barry Whitwam, Jamie Thurston on bass guitar and vocals, John Summerton on guitar and vocals and Tony Young on Keyboards and vocals will perform many of their classic hits from the 60's including I'm Into Something Good, Mrs Brown You've Got A Lovely Daughter, No Milk Today, There's A Kind Of Hush, My Sentimental Friend and many others.
