The Joe Cocker Express @ The Elvis Precinct
On Sunday June 7th I went to the Elvis Precinct to see the Joe Cocker Express who are from the Gold Coast and it was my first time seeing them live. The show started at 12.30pm with the Joe Cocker Express coming on stage which in the first set included the hits from the 80's including Up Where We Belong which Jason sang it with Bec and Leave Your Hat On and even doing the INXS song as well as each band member telling a story about Joe Cocker including one story about his mother doing washing and discovering a cheque in one of his clothes as well as being in Australia in 1972 and in the second set wore the hippy gear as well as singing the big classic hits including Delta Lady, Feelin Alright, You Are So Beautiful and of course the iconic With A Little Help From My Friends and also I met a lady named Laura, her mother Debra and an lady named Michelle. The show finished at 2.30pm, had bought records at Record Sale, bought Fish and Chips @ the Fish and Chips shop and went back to Twin Towns Mantra. It was AWESOME with FANTASTIC singing by Jason with an AWESOME band including the guitar player and an backing vocals by Bec and every one had a great time and enjoying themselves and also I look forward to see the act in the future which they have an great job doing the Joe Cocker songs as they do it very well.
