The Fabulous Caprettos @ Twin Towns

On Friday night June 5th I went to Twin Towns to see the Fabulous Caprettos which it was my first time seeing the act and it had Australian singers Wendy Matthews, Dave Gleeson from the Screaming Jets and the Angels, Rai Thistlewayte from Thirsty Merc and an appearance by Russell Morris as Joe Camilleri from Jo Jo Zep and the Falcons and the Black Sorrows was supposed to be there but he wasn't well which was the reason. The show started at 8pm with Jason Ayres who is an singer-songwriter in Perth came on which he did an set of mainly his own songs as well as an cover of the Chris Issak song Baby Did A Bad Bad Thing and there was an interval. The Fabulous Caprettos with Rai Thistlewayte, Wendy Matthews and Dave Gleeson came on stage which Wendy started it off with her 90's hit Let's Kiss, Dave sang his song, Rai sang his song from Thirsty Merc Someday Someday and Russell Morris singing of 2 of his hits and got off stage for a while which Wendy, Dave and Rai performed their hits including Wendy doing the Models hit Out of Mind Out Of Sight as she sang with them and then towards the end of the show Russell came back on stage doing the iconic hit the Real Thing and the show finished with them doing the iconic Angels song Am I Gonna See Your Face again which the crowds (most of them) did the chant which I won't say it. The show finished at 10.39pm which I went downstairs to meet Mum and went back to the Twin Towns Mantra. It was FANTASTIC and AWESOME with Rai, Dave, Wendy and Russell all sounded great doing the songs that are all Australian rock classics and those songs still endure to this day and it was great to see Russell Morris back on stage considering he last performed in August as he's not touring anymore and also the back band were FANTASTIC with Pete Robinson who had played with Russell for many years on Guitar, Jason Vorheer who plays with Daryl Brathiwate on bass and and on drums Gerry Pantazis. I look forward to seeing the show again in the future and if you have not seen the show please do yourselves a favour and SEE IT which you will be impressed and amazed as well as entertained. Hermans Hermits Australian Tour 2025

In August and September 2025 legendary British rock group Hermans Hermits are touring Australia which they will be performing in Queensland, NSW, ACT, Western Australia and Victoria and the group with original member and drummer Barry Whitwam, Jamie Thurston on bass guitar and vocals, John Summerton on guitar and vocals and Tony Young on Keyboards and vocals will perform many of their classic hits from the 60's including I'm Into Something Good, Mrs Brown You've Got A Lovely Daughter, No Milk Today, There's A Kind Of Hush, My Sentimental Friend and many others.
