Ain't Done With The Blues by Buddy Guy

This is the new album by legendary American blues musician Buddy Guy and this was recorded at Blackbird Studio in Nashville Tennessee which most of the songs on the album were written by Tom Hambridge who produced the album with people like Richard Fleming(5) and 2 with Gary Nicholson as well as some covers including an John Lee Hooker song called Hooker Thing and an Earl King song Trick Bag as well as Joe Walsh from the Eagles performing with Buddy on How Blues Is That and Peter Frampton performing with Buddy on It Keeps Me Young. It is an FANTASTIC album with great playing and singing by Buddy Guy who is still sounding great at age 89 and the songs are FANTASTIC which it's well worth listening to. Buddy Guy has 5 shows coming up in the USA this month and among the other musicians playing on the album is Chuck Leavell who plays with the Rolling Stones and Tal Wilkenfeld who played with Jeff Beck. This is an must for blues music fans and I give it 4 stars as it's in the shops now so do yourselves an favour and BUY IT which you will be impressed and amazed.

Vale Peter Flanagan(the Fauns/The Flanagans)

Peter Flanagan member of legendary Australian singing family group the Fauns aka the The Flanagans passed away on September 2nd aged 73 at the Royal North Shore Hospital in Sydney. Peter along with brother Paul and Sister Margaret began as the Fauns in 1959 as they had been doing classical music training which they released 3 singles on the Leedon label- Dance With Me/Don't Take the Stars, We Should Be Together/While Susan Sleeps and Nursery Rhymes Rock and as the Flanagans they released 4 singles on the HMV label-He/Wonderland Of Love and Dreams(1965), Follow the Wind/Land OF Beyond(1965), You Were Meant FOr Me/That's How Man Began(1966) and This is My Song/For Bobby(1967). the group did appearances on Bandstand,Six O'Clock Rock, Teen Time, The Johnny O'Keefe Show, Sing Sing Sing, the Mike Walsh Show, IMT, Revue 61, Revue 62 and many others as well as performing on the Matt Munro TV special in 1966 as well as performing in the clubs too as well as co writing the song...

 This is the autobiography of Australian Pianist and musician John Charter and in this book he talks about his upbringing in Kingsford (Sydney), started learning piano at age 8, playing in Australia's first rock and roll band Alan Dale and the Houserockers, playing in his own trio, forming Johnny Rebb and The Rebels with Johnny Rebb who would achieve 6 top 40 hits from 1959-60 including Hey Sheriff and Pathway To Paradise, doing the Lee Gordon tours with the Everly brothers, Fabian , The Platters and Johnny Ray, doing Bandstand and Six O'Clock Rock, working with Slim Dusty, playing in the Sydney Club  and hotel Scene , forming his own group The John Charter Group, working in Vietnam and America with Digger Revell and many others.
