The Naked Gun

This afternoon I went to the movies at Carindale to see the movie The Naked Gun. Lieutenant Frank Drebin Jr(Liam Neeson) son of Frank Sr (Leslie Nielsen) from Police Squad who was disguised as a girl stops an gang of bank robbers which unknown to him it was a distraction to steal an gadget called the PLOT and Chief Davis (CCH Pounder) reassigns him to another case an car accident after his over the top law enforcement becoming an issues which leads to Police Squad threatened to be closed and investigates the car accident which the victim was Simon Davenport(Jason MacDonald) who was an software engineer which it deemed suicide and Frank Jr meets Beth (Pamela Anderson) who is Simon's sister and she is an writer who thinks Simon was murdered and then Frank Jr then encounters Richard Cane(Danny Houston) who owns Edentech who plots to reverts humans to their barbarian nature and also Frank and Beth are starting to fall in love and it gets interesting. It is Whacky, Excellent, very funny and very entertaining with excellent acting by Liam Neeson, Pamela Anderson, CCH Pounder, Danny Houston son of iconic movie director John Houston, brother of actress Anjelica and grandson of Walter Houston who was an actor also and Paul Walter Hauser and even an cameo by Priscilla Presley who was in the Naked Gun movies in the 80's and 90's. It was directed by Akiva Schaffer who was also one of the writers with Doug Mand and Dan Gregor and produced by Seth MacFarlane and Erica Huggins and it has been 31 years since the last Naked Gun movie which after many attempts it is finally here and Liam Neeson who does the role as Frank Drebin Jr very well as well as the chemsitry with Pamela Anderson works very well too. I give it 4 stars as it's in the cinemas now so do yourselves an favour an SEE IT which you will be impressed and amazed.

Vale Peter Flanagan(the Fauns/The Flanagans)

Peter Flanagan member of legendary Australian singing family group the Fauns aka the The Flanagans passed away on September 2nd aged 73 at the Royal North Shore Hospital in Sydney. Peter along with brother Paul and Sister Margaret began as the Fauns in 1959 as they had been doing classical music training which they released 3 singles on the Leedon label- Dance With Me/Don't Take the Stars, We Should Be Together/While Susan Sleeps and Nursery Rhymes Rock and as the Flanagans they released 4 singles on the HMV label-He/Wonderland Of Love and Dreams(1965), Follow the Wind/Land OF Beyond(1965), You Were Meant FOr Me/That's How Man Began(1966) and This is My Song/For Bobby(1967). the group did appearances on Bandstand,Six O'Clock Rock, Teen Time, The Johnny O'Keefe Show, Sing Sing Sing, the Mike Walsh Show, IMT, Revue 61, Revue 62 and many others as well as performing on the Matt Munro TV special in 1966 as well as performing in the clubs too as well as co writing the song...
