Legacy The Creedence Clearwater Revival Years John Fogerty

This is the new album by legendary American singer-songwriter and member of the iconic American rock band Creedence Clearwater Revival John Fogerty and the songs on the album are re-recorded versions of Creedence Clearwater Revival songs which among them includes Proud Mary, Who'll Stop the Rain, Lodi, Travellin Band, Green River, Hey Tonight as well as 2 live recording as John on the album is backed up by 2 of his sons Shane and Tyler as well as other musicians including on drums Matt Chamberlain, on bass Bob Glaub and on Sax Rob Stone. It is AWESOME and FANTASTIC and also it ROCKS with great singing by John Fogerty who is still sounding great at 80 which he is sounding better than ever which he does those songs so Brilliantly and does with it respect. Just 2 years ago John got the rights to the Creedence global catalog after the legal battle he went through and similar to Taylor Swift who did remakes of songs from her 4 albums after being unable to get the rights to the original John has re-recorded the songs here to celebrate it playing the songs on his terms. John arranged and produced the album with Shane as co producer and wife Julie executive producer and John has a show in Canada next Saturday August 30th and in September 2 USA shows and an Mexican show so let's hope for an Australian tour soon. This is an must for John Fogerty fans as well as Creedence fans and I give it 5 stars as it's in the shops now so do yourselves an favour and BUY IT which you will be impressed and amazed.

Vale Peter Flanagan(the Fauns/The Flanagans)

Peter Flanagan member of legendary Australian singing family group the Fauns aka the The Flanagans passed away on September 2nd aged 73 at the Royal North Shore Hospital in Sydney. Peter along with brother Paul and Sister Margaret began as the Fauns in 1959 as they had been doing classical music training which they released 3 singles on the Leedon label- Dance With Me/Don't Take the Stars, We Should Be Together/While Susan Sleeps and Nursery Rhymes Rock and as the Flanagans they released 4 singles on the HMV label-He/Wonderland Of Love and Dreams(1965), Follow the Wind/Land OF Beyond(1965), You Were Meant FOr Me/That's How Man Began(1966) and This is My Song/For Bobby(1967). the group did appearances on Bandstand,Six O'Clock Rock, Teen Time, The Johnny O'Keefe Show, Sing Sing Sing, the Mike Walsh Show, IMT, Revue 61, Revue 62 and many others as well as performing on the Matt Munro TV special in 1966 as well as performing in the clubs too as well as co writing the song...

Memoirs of A Piano Man by John Charter

 This is the autobiography of Australian Pianist and musician John Charter and in this book he talks about his upbringing in Kingsford (Sydney), started learning piano at age 8, playing in Australia's first rock and roll band Alan Dale and the Houserockers, playing in his own trio, forming Johnny Rebb and The Rebels with Johnny Rebb who would achieve 6 top 40 hits from 1959-60 including Hey Sheriff and Pathway To Paradise, doing the Lee Gordon tours with the Everly brothers, Fabian , The Platters and Johnny Ray, doing Bandstand and Six O'Clock Rock, working with Slim Dusty, playing in the Sydney Club  and hotel Scene , forming his own group The John Charter Group, working in Vietnam and America with Digger Revell and many others.
