Freakier Friday

This afternoon I went to the movies at Events Cinema Carindale to see the movie Freakier Friday which it is the sequel to the 2003 movie Freaky Friday. Tess Coleman(Jamie Lee Curtis) who is now podcaster and daughter Anna(Lindsay Lohan) who is an music producer and an single mother to teenage daughter Harper(Julia Butters) who is squabbling with student Lily (Sophia Hammons) who is from England which leads to a incident in Chemistry class. Anna meets Eric (Manny Jacinto) who is an widower and Lily's father in the principal's office and they are fall in love which they are engaged that leads to Harper and Lily dissatisfied with Harper concerned about her mother moving to London and her staying with Tess while Lily wanted to go back to London and it was during Anna's bachelotette party that both Anna and Tess and Harper and Lily encounter an fortune teller Madame Jen (Vanessa Bayer) about their fractued lives which leads to the 4 of them switching bodies and it gets interesting. It is excellent, very funny and very entertaining with excellent acting by Jamie Lee Curtis, Lindsay Lohan, Julia Butters, Sophia Hammons, Manny Jacinto, Mark Harmon, Chad Michael Murray and Rosalind Chao. It is directed by Nisha Ganatra and Jamie Lee Curtis is one of the producers with Kristin Burr and Andrew Gunn and both Jamie Lee Curtis and Lindsay Lohan playing their roles which they did 22 years before did it very well as blending well with the 2 younger characters did it so very well too. I give this 4 stars as it's in the cinemas now so do yourselves an favour and SEE IT which you will be impressed and amazed.

Vale Peter Flanagan(the Fauns/The Flanagans)

Peter Flanagan member of legendary Australian singing family group the Fauns aka the The Flanagans passed away on September 2nd aged 73 at the Royal North Shore Hospital in Sydney. Peter along with brother Paul and Sister Margaret began as the Fauns in 1959 as they had been doing classical music training which they released 3 singles on the Leedon label- Dance With Me/Don't Take the Stars, We Should Be Together/While Susan Sleeps and Nursery Rhymes Rock and as the Flanagans they released 4 singles on the HMV label-He/Wonderland Of Love and Dreams(1965), Follow the Wind/Land OF Beyond(1965), You Were Meant FOr Me/That's How Man Began(1966) and This is My Song/For Bobby(1967). the group did appearances on Bandstand,Six O'Clock Rock, Teen Time, The Johnny O'Keefe Show, Sing Sing Sing, the Mike Walsh Show, IMT, Revue 61, Revue 62 and many others as well as performing on the Matt Munro TV special in 1966 as well as performing in the clubs too as well as co writing the song...

 This is the autobiography of Australian Pianist and musician John Charter and in this book he talks about his upbringing in Kingsford (Sydney), started learning piano at age 8, playing in Australia's first rock and roll band Alan Dale and the Houserockers, playing in his own trio, forming Johnny Rebb and The Rebels with Johnny Rebb who would achieve 6 top 40 hits from 1959-60 including Hey Sheriff and Pathway To Paradise, doing the Lee Gordon tours with the Everly brothers, Fabian , The Platters and Johnny Ray, doing Bandstand and Six O'Clock Rock, working with Slim Dusty, playing in the Sydney Club  and hotel Scene , forming his own group The John Charter Group, working in Vietnam and America with Digger Revell and many others.
