Believe by Swanee

This is the new album by legendary Australian singer Swanee (John Swan) and this is mainly an duets album which he sings with his brothers Jimmy Barnes and Alan Barnes, his niece Mahalia Barnes, Dave Gleeson from the Screaming Jets and the Angels, Rick Springfield, Russell Morris, Ian Moss, Wendy Matthews and many others which Swanee sings the title track himself. It is an FANTASTIC album with great singing by Swanee who sounds great and he and the acts he sang with sounds great too and also the songs are FANTASTIC too. It was produced by Darren Mullan with some produced by Nick O'Donnell and Kevin Borich, Paul Cecchinelli and John Swan, Mark Lizotte(Diesel), Ben Rogers, Kevin Shirley and jack Jones and it went to number 37 on the Australian charts which it was Swanee's first 40 album since 1982 with This Time It's Different and his first charting album since 1985 with Bushido. Let's hope to see Swanee on the road. This is an must for Swanee fans and Australian music fans and I give it 4 stars as it's in the shops now so do yourselves an favour and BUY IT which you will be impressed and amazed.

Vale Peter Flanagan(the Fauns/The Flanagans)

Peter Flanagan member of legendary Australian singing family group the Fauns aka the The Flanagans passed away on September 2nd aged 73 at the Royal North Shore Hospital in Sydney. Peter along with brother Paul and Sister Margaret began as the Fauns in 1959 as they had been doing classical music training which they released 3 singles on the Leedon label- Dance With Me/Don't Take the Stars, We Should Be Together/While Susan Sleeps and Nursery Rhymes Rock and as the Flanagans they released 4 singles on the HMV label-He/Wonderland Of Love and Dreams(1965), Follow the Wind/Land OF Beyond(1965), You Were Meant FOr Me/That's How Man Began(1966) and This is My Song/For Bobby(1967). the group did appearances on Bandstand,Six O'Clock Rock, Teen Time, The Johnny O'Keefe Show, Sing Sing Sing, the Mike Walsh Show, IMT, Revue 61, Revue 62 and many others as well as performing on the Matt Munro TV special in 1966 as well as performing in the clubs too as well as co writing the song...

 This is the autobiography of Australian Pianist and musician John Charter and in this book he talks about his upbringing in Kingsford (Sydney), started learning piano at age 8, playing in Australia's first rock and roll band Alan Dale and the Houserockers, playing in his own trio, forming Johnny Rebb and The Rebels with Johnny Rebb who would achieve 6 top 40 hits from 1959-60 including Hey Sheriff and Pathway To Paradise, doing the Lee Gordon tours with the Everly brothers, Fabian , The Platters and Johnny Ray, doing Bandstand and Six O'Clock Rock, working with Slim Dusty, playing in the Sydney Club  and hotel Scene , forming his own group The John Charter Group, working in Vietnam and America with Digger Revell and many others.
