The Big Five 0 Live Cold Chisel(DVD and CD)

From October 2024 to February 2025 legendary Australian rock band Cold Chisel got back together to do an Australian and New Zealand tour to celebrate 50 years when they were formed which included Brisbane and Melbourne which they performed at the Sidney Myer Music Bowl on November 23rd which it was recorded and filmed and it is out on CD and DVD which with the CD as it is an double set they performed many of the classic Chisel hits including My Baby, Forever Now, Khe Sahn, Choir Girl as well as album tracks including Standing On The Outside, Bow River, Breakfast at Sweethearts and Goodbye(Astrid Goodbye) and on the DVD which has the same songs on it and has interview with the members in between some of the songs and also on the extended interviews on the 2nd DVD with the members as well as the back up singers including Eliza Jane Barnes(Jimmy's daughter), Tex Perkins and Sarah McLeod. It is AWESOME, FANTASTIC and SUPERB Which it Rocks with the band really at the top of their form with Jimmy Barnes sounding great after his health scare as well as great playing by the band members including great guitar playing by Ian Moss and they did it very well as well as the fans singing along to the songs and having a great time . The live CD went to number 4 in Australia and let's hope we see Cold Chisel again soon. This is an must for Cold Chisel fans and I give it both 5 stars as it's in the shops now so do yourselves an favour and BUY IT which you will be impressed and amazed.

Vale Peter Flanagan(the Fauns/The Flanagans)

Peter Flanagan member of legendary Australian singing family group the Fauns aka the The Flanagans passed away on September 2nd aged 73 at the Royal North Shore Hospital in Sydney. Peter along with brother Paul and Sister Margaret began as the Fauns in 1959 as they had been doing classical music training which they released 3 singles on the Leedon label- Dance With Me/Don't Take the Stars, We Should Be Together/While Susan Sleeps and Nursery Rhymes Rock and as the Flanagans they released 4 singles on the HMV label-He/Wonderland Of Love and Dreams(1965), Follow the Wind/Land OF Beyond(1965), You Were Meant FOr Me/That's How Man Began(1966) and This is My Song/For Bobby(1967). the group did appearances on Bandstand,Six O'Clock Rock, Teen Time, The Johnny O'Keefe Show, Sing Sing Sing, the Mike Walsh Show, IMT, Revue 61, Revue 62 and many others as well as performing on the Matt Munro TV special in 1966 as well as performing in the clubs too as well as co writing the song...

Memoirs of A Piano Man by John Charter

 This is the autobiography of Australian Pianist and musician John Charter and in this book he talks about his upbringing in Kingsford (Sydney), started learning piano at age 8, playing in Australia's first rock and roll band Alan Dale and the Houserockers, playing in his own trio, forming Johnny Rebb and The Rebels with Johnny Rebb who would achieve 6 top 40 hits from 1959-60 including Hey Sheriff and Pathway To Paradise, doing the Lee Gordon tours with the Everly brothers, Fabian , The Platters and Johnny Ray, doing Bandstand and Six O'Clock Rock, working with Slim Dusty, playing in the Sydney Club  and hotel Scene , forming his own group The John Charter Group, working in Vietnam and America with Digger Revell and many others.
