This is the memoir of American musician and member of the iconic American rock band Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers Mike Campbell and in this book he talks about his upbringing in Jacksonville Florida, his parents splitting up, getting his first guitar at age 16, playing in an band called Dead Or Alive, joined an band called Mudcrutch which had Tom Petty, becoming Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers in 1976 which would last for 41 years with hit singles including American Girl, Breakdown, Don't Come Around Her No More, Learning to Fly, Free Fallin and many others, working with people like Don Henley, Stevie Nicks, Bob Dylan,Roger McGuinn, KISS, Johnny Cash and many others, joining Fleetwood Mac in 2018 and many others. It is AWESOME, BRILLIANT and SUPERB with FANTASTIC and AMAZING stories as well as very impressive and very entertaining and it is well worth an read learning about Mike's journey. Mike with his band The Dirty Knobs are doing shows in the USA in July and August with Blackberry Smoke and Shannon McNally and it is nearly 8 years since the passing of Tom Petty which ended the Heartbreakers but the great music still lives on today. This is an must for Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers and I give it 5 stars as it's in the shps now so do yourselves an favour and BUY IT which you will be impressed and amazed.
