Step By Step by New Kids On the Block

On June 5th 1990 American boyband New Kids On the Block released their 4th album Step By Step which went to number 1 in the USA and the UK and number 4 in Australia and it had 3 hit singles the title track Step By Step, Tonight and Let's Try Again which most the tracks were written by Maurice Starr as well as the ones he co-written. The album is now out on CD which it is celebrating 35 years when it came out and on the CD which besides from the original tracks the bonus tracks includes 2 unreleased songs as well as 2 12' single remixes of the hits. It is FANTASTIC and BRILLIANT with FANTASTIC songs which has stood the test of time as it still sounds great today as it did as great music gets appreicated after all these years. New Kids On the Block are doing shows in Las Vegas this month, July and November this year and February 2026 and let's hope they come back to Australia again in the future. This is an must for fans of New Kids On the Block and I give it 4 stars as it's in the shops now so doyourselves an favour and BUY IT which you will be impressed and amazed.

Vale Peter Flanagan(the Fauns/The Flanagans)

Peter Flanagan member of legendary Australian singing family group the Fauns aka the The Flanagans passed away on September 2nd aged 73 at the Royal North Shore Hospital in Sydney. Peter along with brother Paul and Sister Margaret began as the Fauns in 1959 as they had been doing classical music training which they released 3 singles on the Leedon label- Dance With Me/Don't Take the Stars, We Should Be Together/While Susan Sleeps and Nursery Rhymes Rock and as the Flanagans they released 4 singles on the HMV label-He/Wonderland Of Love and Dreams(1965), Follow the Wind/Land OF Beyond(1965), You Were Meant FOr Me/That's How Man Began(1966) and This is My Song/For Bobby(1967). the group did appearances on Bandstand,Six O'Clock Rock, Teen Time, The Johnny O'Keefe Show, Sing Sing Sing, the Mike Walsh Show, IMT, Revue 61, Revue 62 and many others as well as performing on the Matt Munro TV special in 1966 as well as performing in the clubs too as well as co writing the song...

Memoirs of A Piano Man by John Charter

 This is the autobiography of Australian Pianist and musician John Charter and in this book he talks about his upbringing in Kingsford (Sydney), started learning piano at age 8, playing in Australia's first rock and roll band Alan Dale and the Houserockers, playing in his own trio, forming Johnny Rebb and The Rebels with Johnny Rebb who would achieve 6 top 40 hits from 1959-60 including Hey Sheriff and Pathway To Paradise, doing the Lee Gordon tours with the Everly brothers, Fabian , The Platters and Johnny Ray, doing Bandstand and Six O'Clock Rock, working with Slim Dusty, playing in the Sydney Club  and hotel Scene , forming his own group The John Charter Group, working in Vietnam and America with Digger Revell and many others.
