Walk This Road the Doobie Brothers

This is the new album by legendary American rock band the Doobie Brothers and this album was recorded at Multiview Studios in Los Angeles California. It is the line up of original members Patrick Simmons and Tom Johnston, John McFee since 1979 and Michael McDonald who joined in 1975 until 1982 as well as 1987, 1992, 1995-96 and since 2019. The songs on the album are written by 3 of the Doobie Brothers Tom, Patrick and Michael with John Shanks who played on the album as well as producing it and also the among the other musicians playing including Mick Fleetwood from Fleetwood Mac and Pino Palladino on bass as well as Mavis Staples from the Staple Singers sing on the first track. It is an FANTASTIC and BRILLIANT album with FANTASTIC songs with great singing and playing by the band which they are sounding great better than ever. They are going to tour the UK and Ireland in July and America and Canada in August and September and let's hope they tour Australia. This is an must for fans of the Doobie Brothers and I give this 4 stars as it's in the shops now so do yourselves an favour and BUY IT which you will be impressed and amazed.

Vale Peter Flanagan(the Fauns/The Flanagans)

Peter Flanagan member of legendary Australian singing family group the Fauns aka the The Flanagans passed away on September 2nd aged 73 at the Royal North Shore Hospital in Sydney. Peter along with brother Paul and Sister Margaret began as the Fauns in 1959 as they had been doing classical music training which they released 3 singles on the Leedon label- Dance With Me/Don't Take the Stars, We Should Be Together/While Susan Sleeps and Nursery Rhymes Rock and as the Flanagans they released 4 singles on the HMV label-He/Wonderland Of Love and Dreams(1965), Follow the Wind/Land OF Beyond(1965), You Were Meant FOr Me/That's How Man Began(1966) and This is My Song/For Bobby(1967). the group did appearances on Bandstand,Six O'Clock Rock, Teen Time, The Johnny O'Keefe Show, Sing Sing Sing, the Mike Walsh Show, IMT, Revue 61, Revue 62 and many others as well as performing on the Matt Munro TV special in 1966 as well as performing in the clubs too as well as co writing the song...

 This is the autobiography of Australian Pianist and musician John Charter and in this book he talks about his upbringing in Kingsford (Sydney), started learning piano at age 8, playing in Australia's first rock and roll band Alan Dale and the Houserockers, playing in his own trio, forming Johnny Rebb and The Rebels with Johnny Rebb who would achieve 6 top 40 hits from 1959-60 including Hey Sheriff and Pathway To Paradise, doing the Lee Gordon tours with the Everly brothers, Fabian , The Platters and Johnny Ray, doing Bandstand and Six O'Clock Rock, working with Slim Dusty, playing in the Sydney Club  and hotel Scene , forming his own group The John Charter Group, working in Vietnam and America with Digger Revell and many others.
