Thank you by Diana Ross

This is the new album by legendary American soul singer Diana Ross and this album was recorded at her home studio during lockdown and the songs are mostly written by Diana Ross including one with her daughter Rhonda including the UK hits the title track which went to number 35 and If The World Just Danced going to number 57. It is excellent and FANTASTIC with great songs and great singing by Diana Ross who is sounding great at age 77 and the album went to number 7 in the UK, number 25 in the USA R&B charts and number 6 in Scotland which this is her first album in 15 years since the album I Love You and first with original songs since Every Day Is A New Day in 1999. I give it 4 stars as it's in the shops now so do yourselves an favour and BUY IT which you will love it.

This is the biography of Australian singer and frontman of the legendary Australian rock band The Angels Doc Neeson and in this book it talks about Doc's upbringing in Adelaide after coming from Ireland, playing in bands The Joneetons and the Innocents, running dances in Adelaide, doing national service, going to Flinders University where he studied Drama and Film, joined an jug band called the Moonshine Jug and String Band which included the Brewster Brothers John and Rick which would become the Keystone Angels and eventually the Angels who would achieve great success with classic songs including Am I Ever Gonna See Your Face Again, Coming Down, Shadow Boxer and No Secrets as well as albums including Dark Room, No Exit and Face To Face, his showmanship, his 2 marriages, Anne talking about first Seeing Doc at Coolangatta and many others. This is the autobiography of British musician and founding member of the legendary British rock band Dire Straits John Illsey and in this books he talks about his upbringing in Middle England, getting his first guitar at 12, playing in bands the Knott and Blind Alley, meeting Dave and Mark Knopfler, playing in the Cafe Racers with Mark Knopfler, formed the band Dire Straits who would go on to great success with hit albums including the self titled album, Brothers In Arms, Communique as well as hit singles including Money For nothing, Sultans of SWing, Walk Of Life, Romeo and Juliet, Twisting By The Pool, line up changes, encounters with Pete Townshend, Talking Heads, Jerry Wexler, Bert Whiteley and many others. At My Piano by Brian Wilson

This is the new album by Brian Wilson and on this album it has piano versions of most of the Beach Boys classics including God Only Knows, Good Vibrations, California Girls, Wouldn't Be Nice as well as his 1988 solo song Love and Mercy and many others which it was recorded at Spitfire Studio and TomorrowLabs Studio. It is an FANTASTIC album with great songs which Brian does an great job doing the piano version of the classic songs which he plays them very well and it is well worth listening to as you can never get tired hearing those songs. Brian produced this album with Nick Patrick and there is an lot of interest in Brian Wilson recently as there is an documentary about him called Long Promised Road as well as having just done an US tour too. This is an Must for Beach boys fans as well as Brian Wilson and I give it 4 stars as it's in the shops now so do yourselves an favour and BUY IT which you will be amazed and impressed.

An month ago Australian rock and roll lost one of it's pioneers Alan Dale who started the rock and roll dance scene in Sydney with his band the Houserockers and performed around the Sydney scene during the 50's as well as never quiet achieve the huge success like Johnny O'Keefe and Col Joye but started the scene which sadly he does not get recoginition as he should but must get acknowledgement for his part in the history of Australia rock. Dale started performing in 1951 on the radio show Rumpus Room on 2UE hosted by Howard Craven and doing big band music around the Sydney scene and then when rock and roll was making an impact in Australia Alan jumped on the bandwagon by forming Sydney's very first rock and roll band the Houserockers which among musicians including John Charter who would go on to become an member of Johnny Rebb and the Rebels which they played their very first show at the Maroubra Memorial Hall in February 1957 as well as playing at Liverpool T

Red Notice

On Sunday I went to the South Bank Cinema to see the movie Red Notice. John Harley(Dwayne Johnson) an FBI agent is assigned to help Urvashi Das (Ritu Arya) an Interpol agent in Rome to track down the last egg that belonged to Cleopatra given to her by Marcus Antonius and meets international art thief Nolan Booth(Ryan Reynolds) at the museum who escapes but gets arrested along with Harley which they are in an Russian prison and Booth's main competition Sarah Black aka the Bishop(Gal Gadot) which Harley and Booth teamed together to get that remaining egg and then it gets interesting. It is excellent, action packed, very funny and very entertaining with excellent acting by Dwayne Johnson, Ryan Reynolds, Ritu Arya and Gal Gadot and it's directed by Rawson Marshall Turner who did the screenplay and also produced by Beau Flynn, Dwayne Johnson, Dany Garcia, Hiram Garcia and Rawson Marshall Turner. I give it 4 stars and it's in the cinemas now as well as Netflix so do yourselve

This is the memoir of Australian actress Lynne McGranger and in this book she talks about her upbringing in NSW and Victoria, having an abortion in the early 70's, having an career as a teacher, doing theatre work, joining Home and Away in 1993 as Irene Roberts which she is still on the show to this day, her smoking addicition and many others. It's an FANTASTIC and an BRILLIANT book with impressive, very entertaining and great stories and an FANTASTIC read which it is well worth reading which it's great to know the person behind the image and to know about their life before achieving success. This is an must for Home and Away fans and I give it 4 and an half stars as it's in the shops now so do yoruselves an favour and BUY IT which you will be amazed.

This the memior of American musician and founding member of the legendary American heavy metal band Motley Crue Nikki Sixx and in this book he talks about being partly raised by his mother afer his father left them, living in different places state to state, living with his grandparents, his troubled youth, moving to Los Angeles, working in different jobs including an steel manufacturing shop and an small factory, joined an band called Sister and joined another band called London which would lead to the formation of Motley Crue and many others. It is FANTASTIC, BRILLIANT and SUPERB with FANTASTIC, Impressive and very entertaining and an great book to read it is well worth it as is amazing to learn about his life before the band and to learn about his life growing up. In june and July next year Motley Crue aliong with Def Leppard, Poison and Joan Jett will be touring America and this book is an must for Motley Crue fans which I give it 5 stars as it's in the shops now so do yours

Ron's Gone Wrong

On Sunday I went to the South Bank Cinema to see the movie Ron's Gone Wrong. Barney (Jack Dylan Grazer) who lives with his father Graham(ed Helms) and Grandmother Donka(Olivia Colman) does not have a B-bot as most of his friends have a one as they make friends through the B-bot and connect on the Internet. Barney gets an an slightly damaged B-bot that had fallen out of a truck at the Bubble Store and has an slight malfunction which leads to the attention of an shady executive named Andrew (Rob Delaney)who wants to protect the company at all costs and Barney and his B-bot who he calls Ron become friends and then it gets interesting. It is excellent, very funny and very entertaining with excellent performances by Olivia Colman, Jacl Dylan Grazer, Ed Helms, Rob Delaney, Zach Galifianakis and Justice Smith. It is directed by Sarah Smith and Jean Phillipe Vine and produced by Julie Lockhart and Lara Breay which Sarah Smith the screenplay with Peter Baynham. I give it 4 stars as it'

The Rajahs and the Mighty Guys and he talks about the period of Australian rock and roll from 1956 to 1966 during their time with Dig Richards and the R'Jays as well as the Rajahs as well as playing with Johnny O'Keefe , touring with the overseas stars as well as working in New Zealand and Vietnam and this new edition with the story going to 1990 which talks about working with Winifred Atwell as well as the Delltones and the formation of the Mighty Guys with Mick Hamilton and Phil Eizenberg as well as the passing of Digby Richards in 1983 and working with John Farnham and Russell Morris as well as the late 60's and the 70's period and many others.
