This is the second book written by legendary Australian singer-songwriter as well as keyboardist and founding member of the legendary Australian rock band Cold Chisel Don Walker. In this book it has lyrics of the songs he has written for over 45 years mainly the ones famous by Cold Chisel as well as Ian Moss, Jimmy Barnes, Slim Dusty and many others which these songs have become Australian classics as well as some stories in between chapters . This is the autobiography of American songwriter and Internet pioneer John Perry Barlow and I am reviewing the paperback version. In this book he talks about his upbringing in Wyoming which his father was an Republican politician, meeting Bob Weir who would form the legendary American rock band the Greatful Dead at school, studying at Wesleyan, doing songwriting for the Greatful Dead which he wrote songs for them from 1971-95, getting involved with computers which he become an pioneer for the internet, hanging out people with people like John F Kennedy Jnr, Andy Warhol, Timothy Leary and many others. It's an FANTASTIC and excellent book with impressive and very entertaining stories told by John and it was co written with Robert Greenfield who has written books about Jerry Garcia, Timothy Leary and Augustus Owsley Stanley III and last year John passed away on February 7th 2018 before the book was released. This is the memoir of British percussionist and founding member of 2 British Bands Joy Division and New Order Stephen Morris and in this book he talks about his upbringing in the North West in an town called Macclesfield, starting getting an guitar and drums during his childhood, played in his first band in the mid 70's, joined an band called Warsaw who would become Joy Division and would achieve great success in the 70's with 2 albums which they were going to break the US market but sadly ended with the passing of Ian Curtis in 1980 and many others. It's been about 5 years since I last did the classic album segment and tonight I decided to bring it back which I can start with the self titled album by American rocker Ritchie Valens. This was the only studio album he recorded and it was recorded at Gold Star Studio in Los Angeles California between 1958-59. It was released in March 1959 an month after the tragic plane crash that killed Ritchie, Buddy Holly and the Big Bopper at Clear Lake Iowa after doing the gig at the Clear Lake Surf Ballroom and it went to number 23 in the USA which was produced by bob Keane who owned Del Fi Records as well as managing Ritchie at the time. It has the 3 hit singles Come On Let's Go, Donna/La Bamba and That's My Little Suzie and an mixture of original songs written by Ritchie and covers including Boney Moronie the Larry Williams song and Bluebirds Over The Mountain the Ersel Hickey song. I saw the photorealistic computer animated version of the classic Disney animated movie The Lion King at the Balmoral Cinema tonight. King Mufasa(James Earl Jones) who is the King of The Pride Lands and wife Queen Sarabi (Alfrie Woodward) have an son Simba(JD McCrary) who is presented to the animals by Rafiki(John Kani) and Mufusa shows Simba the Pride Lands as well as explaining the responsibilities while Mufusa's brother Scar(Chiwetel Ejiofor) plans to eliminate Mufusa and Simba so he could become King.
