 On Tuesday I went to the Dendy Cinema Coorparoo to the movie The Father. Anthony (Sir Anthony Hopkins) has dementia  is visited by his daughter Ann (Olivia Colman)  and is having issues with his caretaker  who is accused for stealing his watch and  is starting to forget things including important. Ann is planning to move to paris with her boyfriend and Anthony is getting confused and frustrated. An caretaker named Laura (Imogen Poots ) us hired which they get friendly and she reminds him of  his other daughter Lucy and then it gets interesting. It's FANTASTIC, BRILLIANT and SUPERB with BRILLIANT and FANTASTIC acting by Anthony Hopkins in his Oscar winning role which it's his second, Olivia Colman, Imogen Poots, Olivia Williams, Rufus Sewell and Mark Gatiss.  This is the documentary about legendary American singer-songwriter, musician, composer and bandleader Frank Zappa and it talks about his upbringing in California, playing in his first band, getting his first record as an teenager, having his own studio, forming the Mothers Of Invention , achieving success in the 60's and 70's, the person behind the persona and anti censorship and it has interviews with his first wife Gail, Bunk Gardner, Ruth Underwood, Ian Underwood, Steve Vai, Pamela Des Barres and Scott Thunes and on the bonus features on the DVD   it has Ad for the Apostrophe album, Zappa and the Pig and Haskell Wexler on Frank Zappa and Uncle Meat.  This is the new album by Australian singer and radio personality Denis Walter  and this album has covers of classic 60's and 70's songs mostly Australian  and Kiwi classics including Yesterday's Hero with John Paul Young who had the hit himself in 1975, Don't You Know It's Magic with Brian Cadd which John Farnham had the hit with it in 1972, Don't You Know Yockomo with Vika and Linda, Six Ribbona with Miriusia and many others. It's an FANTASTIC and BRILLIANT album with great singing by Denis who does 3AW in Melbourne  and FANTASTIC songs which he does them so very well including doing an Great take on Don't You Know Yockomo  and among the others people who played on this album Wilbur Wilde and Lisa Edwards who works with John Farnham. Michael Cristiano who worked with the Seekers produced  this album as well as mixed the album and playing on it too. This should be in the charts and this is an must for Australian music fans which I give it 4 and an half

That's Life by Willie Nelson

 This is the new album by legendary American country singer Willie Nelson which he does an Frank Sinatra tribute album and does the classic Sinatra songs including the title track, I've Got You Under My Skin, I won't Dance which he does it with Diana Krall, You Make Me So Young etc which it was recorded at Capitol Studios in Hollywood California. It is FANTASTIC with FANTASTIC songs with great singing by Willie who is still singing great at age 87 88 this Thursday and  this album went to number 58 in the USA pop charts which it's amazing. Buddy Cannon and Matt Rollings were the producers of this album and executive producer was Mark Rothbaum. This is Willie's second Frank Sinatra tribute album as he did My Way 3 years ago and on this album he does it so very well which he does these songs Willie's style . I give it 4 stars as it's in the shops now so do yourselves an favour and BUY IT which you will be amazed.

 On Sunday I went to the South bank Cinema to see the movie the Courier. It's the early 1960's in London and Greville Wynn (Benedict Cumberbatch) who is an businessman is approached by Dickie Franks (Angus Wright) an MI6 officer and CIA officer Emily Donovan (Rachel Brosnahan) to pose as business partner to Oleg Penkovsky (Merab Ninidze) in order to gain intelligence concerning Soviet missiles before   being transported to Cuba and they get friendly as well as knowing each other's families and also gets very interesting. It's Gripping, FANTASTIC, BRILLIANT and SUPERB with Fantastic and Brilliant acting by Benedict Cumberbatch, Angus Wright, Rachel Brosnahan, Merab Ninidze and Jessie Buckley. It's directed by Dominic Cooke and produced by Adam Ackland, Ben Browning, Ben Pugh and Rory Aitken. This film is one of those films that gets you gripped and the story is FANTASTIC as it is based on the true story. I am giving it 4 and an half stars as is still in the cinemas n

 In January 1971  the Aztecs released the album The hoax Is Over which went to number 7 in Australia  and it only had 4 tracks including the song Gangster of Love  which one of the lyrics got beeped  and it is out on cd  as an double   edition. Besides from the 4 original tracks  which thanks to Aztecs Drummer Gil Matthews  who is also an remastering engineer has reinserted the word that was beeped on Gangster of Love for maximum impact   it has bonus tracks which includes Billy Thorpe's 1967 single Dream Baby the Roy Orbison song with the b side You Don't Live Twice, Good Morning Little Schoolgirl/Rock me Baby from 1970,  live recordings that has never been released including Pinball Wizard, Season of the Witch as well as live recordings from Bondi Lifesaver  as well as the 1994 promo song for the Sydney Rugby League  as well as demos of songs like It's Almost Summer and  Believe It Just Like Me as well as demos by Gil Matthews and Warren "The Pig "Morgan and one

In Another World Cheap Trick

 This is the new album by legendary American rock band Cheap Trick and this was recorded in Nashville Tennessee, Rockford Illinois and St Petersburg Florida. It has most of the original songs written by the members as well as there is a cover of the John Lennon song Gimme Some Truth as  an song they wrote with Linda Perry from 4 Non Blondes  and another with  Kristian Bush from the country group Sugarland. It is FANTASTIC, BRILLIANT, ROCKIN and SUPERB with AWESOME songs  and an great sound  as well as great singing by the band who are still sounding great as ever. The band along with Julian Raymond produced it and let's hope it will be an hit  which I am sure it will be. The band are coming to Australia at the end of the month  which includes Brisbane  and this an must for Cheap Trick fans. I give it 5 stars as it's in the shops now and do yourselves an favour and BUY IT which you will love it and be amazed. 

Peter Rabbit 2

 This afternoon I went to the Southbank Cinema where I saw Peter Rabbit 2. Bea (Rose Byrne) and Thomas (Domhnall Gleeson) are married with Peter Rabbit (James Corden) and his friends are there  and then Bea is selling her book about Peter Rabbit when she meets an publisher named Nigel Basil Jones(David Oyelowo)  who wants to be publish her book and wants her to do something different with the rabbits in the book and Peter who tries his best to behave can't shake his mischievous  ways which he goes into a world where his mischief ways is appreciated and then it gets interesting. It's FANTASTIC, very funny and very entertaining with great acting by Rose Byrne, Domhnall Gleeson, James Corden, David Oyelowo, Margot Robbie and Elizabeth Debicki. It's directed by Will Gluck who also did the screenplay with Patrick Burleigh and produced it with Zareh Nalbandian  and this film is just as funny  as the first one which it is well worth watching.  This is the new album by legendary American country singer Loretta Lynn and this album was recorded at her ranch in Hurricane Mills  Tennessee, Cash Cabin Studio in Hendersonville Tennessee and Willowbrooke Studios in Franklin Tennessee.  This album had an mixture of new songs as well as new version of songs that Loretta Lynn had previously recorded which includes You Ain't Woman Enough with Tanya Tucker, the title track which she recorded it with Carrie Underwood and Reba McEntire , Honky Tonk Girl which was her debut single in 1960 and many others.
