Mao's Last Dancer

Image
Hi there, Yesterday afternoon afternoon went to see the movie Mao's Last Dancer at South Bank Cinema and it's the true story about Chinese Ballet Dancer named Li Cunxin played by Chi Cao(as the adult) & Chengwu Guo who goes from proverty to international stardom. from an apprenticeship in CHina as a classical dancer to america to the glory of creative freedom. but there's a painful price to be paid for self expression. I was very impressed with this movie which it's based on the true story by Li Cunxin and IT'S VERY GOOD, TOUCHING,SAD, FUNNY sometimes and BRILLIANT. Bruce Beresford does a great job directing this film with great writing by jan sardi and producing by JAne Scott. Brilliant acting by Chi Cao,haung wen bin & Chengwu Guo as Li, Amanda sculley as Elizabeth , Penne Hackforth Jones as Cynthia, joan chen as Niang, bruce Greenwood as Ben Stevenson, wang shaung bao as li's father, kyle McLachlan as charles foster, jack thompson as the judge and ca
