City of Angels by Vanessa Amorosi

This is the new album by Australian singer Vanessa Amorosi and it has all the songs that has been written by Vanessa which she wrote most of them with Tony Featherstone , 2 with with Rodrigo Bustos, 2 with Maurice D'Andre Fonville and 1 with Melissa O'Connor and also sings with Lena Byrd Miles on 1 song and Anthony Evans on another song. IT is AWESOME, FANTASTIC and BRILLIANT with AWESOME and BRILLIANT songs with FANTASTIC singing by Vanessa who sounds great and is singing the best ever which the songs has an great gospel feel as well as going on an journey with these songs. I put that up there with The Power, Somewhere In The Real World and Hazardous and it is well worth listening too. The album is at number 7 on the Australian charts at the moment and let's hope it can go to number 1 so keep on supporting it and buying it. This is the autobiography of American actress Sharon Gless and in this book she talks about her upbringing in California, her parents being divorced, going to boarding school and Gonzaga University, doing Tv shows like Marcus Welby, Ironside and The Rockford Files, joining the show House Calls replacing Lynn Redgrave, playing Christine Cagney in the TV police show Cagney and Lacey from 1982-88 which she would 2 Emmys, playing Debbie Novotny in Queer As Folk, her issues with Alcohol, working with Tyne Daly, Andy Griffith, Robert Wagner,Michael Douglas and John Ritter and many others. It is FANTASTIC and BRILLIANT with FANTASTIC and AMAZING stories and it is well worth an read which I enjoyed reading it. Sharon has just done an play called Love Letetrs in Florida with Barry Bostwick. This is an must for TV Fans and I give it 4 and an half stars as it's in the shops now so do yourselves an favour and BUY IT which you will be impressed an amazed.

Now and the Evermore by Colin Hay

This is the new album by scottish Australian American singer-songwriter and musician and Men At Work member Colin Hay and this was recorded in Los Angeles and Nashville which 9 songs on the written by Colin Hay himself and 1 song written by Chris Trapper as well as Ringo Starr playing on the title track and Gregg Bissonette played on some of the tracks and Jimmy Branly and Jordan Perison on played on the other tracks too which the songs are about love and life. It is an excellent album with great songs with great singing by Colin which he sounds great too. Colin produced the album himself and Colin has been back on the charts with an new version of Down Under which he sang on it with Luude an Australian electronic dance producer which it has gone to number 10 in Australia and number 5 in the UK. Colin is currently touring the USA including some with Ringo Starr in June and this album is an must for Colin Hay fans which I give it 4 stars as it's in the shops now so do yourselve

Dog

Yesterda I went to the South Bank Cinema to see the movie Dog. Jackson Briggs(Channing Tatum) an Army Ranger who is tasked to take Lulu an Belgian Malinois military dog to the funeral of his fallen commander in Arizona and on the way they drive each other crazy as well as stopping at different places including Oregon and San Francisco as well as Jackson is dealing with his issues and struggling to bond with the dog which gets interesting. It is excellent, Fantastic, sad and touching with excellent acting Channing Tatum who also directed and produced it and also excellent acting by Janes Adam , Kevin Nash and Q'orianka Kilcher . It is an very good feel good movie and it an must for the family and Channing Tatum does an excellent and great performance which he always does with any role and does it so well. This is the biography of Australian singer Yvonne Barrett written by Damian Johnstone and in this book it talks about her upbringing in Melbourne, starting dancing at age 2 and an half, doing pantomines, appearing on Swallows Juniors aka Brian and the Juniors hosted by Brian Naylor, doing musical theater including the Sound of Music and A Funny Thing Happened On The Way To The Forum, recording for the Go Label and EMI with singles like You're The One, Send Her Away and Lu, appearing TV shows like the Go Show, Bandstand, Uptight, Hit Scene and others, working in Vietnam and many others. This is the live DVD by legendary British singer Sir Cliff Richard and the show was filmed at the Royal Albert Hall London October 27th 2021 as part of the belated Great 80 tour which was supposed to happend in 2020 but didn't due to Covid 19 but the tour happened last year which did the UK. At the show he performs many of his hits from the 50's, 60's 70's 80's and 90's as well as tracks from the album Music The Air That I Breathe and long forgotten album tracks and on the DVD it has an special feature that is an interview with Sir Cliff Richard. It is AWESOME, FANTASTIC and ROCKIN with FANTASTIC songs as well great entertainment and great singing by Sir Cliff who is still singing great better than ever backed up by an great band. This is an must for Cliff Richard fans and I give it 5 stars which it's in the shops now so do yourselves an favour and BUY IT which you will love it.

This is the new album by Leo Sayer and these are covers of Beatles songs which includes Eleanor Rigby, Julia, Can't Buy Me Love, Get Back. Strawberry Fields Forever, A Day In the Life and many others which was recorded at his home studio in Sydney and extra recording was done at the Barn recording Studio in Plainland Queensland and also Mark Kennedy who has played with many Australian bands including Spectrum did the live percussion on Hey Jude. It is an FANTASTIC album with great Beatles songs with great singing by Leo who does these his way in his own style and he does them so well which is well worth listening too and he is still great too. Abbalive @ Kedron Wavell

On Friday March 18th I went to Kedron Wavell to see the Abba tribute act Abbalive and it was my first seeing an show Kedron Wavell for 2 years 3 months and 5 days since Friday December 13th 2019 when I saw the Animals including original drummer John Steel. I caught the bus from Carindale to Chermside, walk to Kedron Wavell, Saw Paula one of the Staff members, went to the Kitchen, saw Angela who I knew from Crossroads, rang Dad, ordered Steak chips and Salad, drank bit of Coke and drank water which I had to ring Dad again. Had Steak, Chips and Salad for dinner, drank Coke, waited for the Caramel Sundae which didn't happend as I had asked about it 3 times which they said it was coming but it did'nt which I was frustrated and by 7.55pm I decided that I am not waiting any longer and was not going to waste time so I went up to the Blue Pacific Room and write notes . The show started at 8.10pm which they did 2 sets doing the clasic Abba songs from the 70's and 80's

On October 21st 1985 an tribute TV Special to American rock and roll pioneer Carl Perkins was recorded at Limehouse Studios in London for the 30th anniversary when he wrote the rock classic Blue Suede Shoes which was released January 1956 and Carl Perkins was joined on stage by acts who he influenced including George Harrison and Ringo Starr from the Beatles who had recorded Matchbox and Honey Don't, Eric Clapton, Roseanne Cash and others performed many of the Carl Perkins songs that have been classics in their own right as well as Jackson, Whole Lotta Shakin Goin On and also among the musicians who played at the show were Greg Perkins(Carl's son), Lee Rocker and Slim Jim Phantom from the Stray Cats and Dave Edmunds which the show is out on CD as well as DVD which I am reviewing the CD.
