the jets and Si Cranstoun show @ Twin Towns

On Sunday night June 9th I went to TWin Towns to see English singer Si Cranstoun and English rock group the Jets and it was my first actual time seeing si live but had saw him @ the Breakfast With the Stars last year which he sang 1 song as well as singing the one song during an interval of TOny Worsley's set last year(Sunday June 10th 2012) and saw SI at the Breakfast early in the day(June 9th) along with the Jets which it was my first time seeing them live. The show started @ 7pm with TonY Worsley coming on stage doing the compering which he introduced the Jets and they came on stage which they did an AWESOME set doing rock n roll, rockabilly and acapella as well as doing some of their hits they had in the 80's as well as having excellent humor as well as wearing cowboy hats doing one song as well as the eldest brother Bob stood on the double bass as well as playing it upside down which looked great. Issi Dye and the Mighty Guys @ the Beach House Stage Coolangatta

On Sunday afternoon June 9th I went to the Beach House stage in Coolangatta to see Australian singer Issi Dye which it was my 6th time seeing him as I had not seen him live since the last Wintersun @ Coolangatta on Saturday June 13th 2010 and he was back at this show by the Mighty Guys. The show started @ 3.15pm and for the next 45 minutes he did an set of classic rock n roll songs by the like of Ricky Nelson, Johnny O'Keefe, Elvis Presley and others and everyone were dancing and enjoying themselves as well as singing along to the songs as well as one of the people watching his performance was Geoff Skewes of the Vibrants. The show finished @ 4pm which after the show Issi had Cd's on sale which I bought one that was an Johnny O'Keefe tribute one and got it signed as well as having a photo with Issi as well as one with Issi and Geoff and also said hi to Mike Lawler which he said that might be an DIg Richards tribute thing @ next year's Cooly which it's great to see

The Atlantics @ Kirra Stage

On Sunday June 9th I went to the Kirra Stage to see legendary Australian rock group the Atlantics which it was my 4th time seeing them which my first time was @ KedroN Wavell March 1st 2002 and had not seen them live since Wintersun on Saturday June 11th 2005 @ the Nightowl Stage when Bosco Bosanac and Peter Hood were in the group and also the current line up that performed @ Cooly were Jim Skiathitis from 1962, Martin Cilla since 1999, lloyd Gyi on drums and on bass Haydn Pickersgill. The show started at 1pm and for the next hour and 15 minutes the Atlantics performed the one set doing the classic 60's recordings including Bombora and the Crusher as well as Come On which they did it with Johnny Rebb in 1967 as well as songs they've done since the 90's when they reformed as well as new song called Maroubra and during the show some people were on the parachutes landing at the beach which was really good. Catfish and the Dee jays show @ Greenmount Surf Club

ON Sunday June 9th I went to the Greenmount Beach House to see Catfish and the Dee Jays which it was my 5th time seeing them and i had not been to the Greenmount Surf Club since Sunday June 12th 2011 when I went to the Breakfast With the Stars which Catfish was at the Breakfast that day. The show started @ 10.30am and for the next 2 hours they did 2 sets doing classic rock and country songs doing stuff by the Beatles, Eddie Cochran,Roy Orbison,Cliff Richard, Elvis Presley, Bill Haley and Johnny O'Keefe which people up dancing and enjoying themselves including me and during the interval I said hello to Catfish. The show finished @ 12.30pm which I saw Bernie from the Chevrolets and got a photo with Catfish and also walk to kirra where I went to see the Atlantics. The show was AWESOME and everyone had an great time including myself and the band were just AWESOME with Catfish still playing great drums at 80 having turned it a month ago as well as seeing Bernie from the Chevrolets

Breakfast WIth The stars

On Sunday morning June 9th I went to the Swing City Marquee for the Breakfast With the Stars which it was my 10th time going there and at that breakfast it had Bryan Davies, Lucky Starr,Roland Storm, Tony Worsley, Si Cranstoun and the Jets(british rock group since the 80's). It started @ 7.30am which i had for breakfast Sausages,bacon,Tomato and egg and then the performers were telling their stories about how they started in showbusiness and as well as people they worked with throughout their careers as well as people asking questions about their careers which I asked Bryan Davies about how he got Dream Girl, Lucky Starr about the shows like Bandstand,Six O'Clock ROck, IMT,Sing Sing Sing for acts like himself, Roland Storm about how he got Rolling With the Flow and Tony Worsley about the shows like the Go show, Kommotion, It's All Happening and Saturday Date for acts like himself and even si and the jets sang some songs which everyone loved it and it was great. it finished

Normie Rowe,Tony Worsley and Denise Drysdale show @ Coolangatta Tweed Golf Club

On Saturday night June 8th I went to the Coolangatta Tweed Golf Club to see NOrmie Rowe,TOny Worsley and Denise Drysdale which it was my 11th time seeing Normie, my 14th time seeing tony Worsley and my 4th time seeing Denise Drysdale and also had not seen Normie ROwe live since Kedron Wavell on Friday October 30th 2009. The show started @ about 8pm with Normie Rowe coming on stage doing an few songs and then Tony Worsley came out on stage wearing an T shirt of himself with the Blue Jays back in the 60's which looked great and he did an great set which he did 3 of his hits from the 60's as well as the B side to Velvet Waters and also he also sounded great. there was an interval and then the show started with Denise Drysdale doing her jokes and imitations and singing 2 songs which she was great and then Normie Rowe came back on which he performed his classic hits including Tell Him I"m Not Home which until that night I had not seen him do that song as well as classic rock

Skooterz/the Mighty Guys/Lucky Starr/Roland Storm and Bryan Davies @ Swing City Marquee

On Saturday June 8th in the daytime I went to Swing City Marquee to see Skooterz an group from Tasmania, The Mighty Guys, Lucky Starr, Roland Storm and Bryan Davies which it was my first time seeing the Skooterz, 2nd time seeing Bryan Davies which the first was @ Kedron Wavell for the ROck n Roll Spectacular show on Sunday August 29th 2010, 9th time seeing Lucky Starr and 10th time seeing roland storm. I got to the Marquee @ 11.45am which the Skooterz were still rehearsing and I bought the Skooterz CD before the show started. The show started @ 12pm with the Skooterz coming on stage 2 sets which they did classic rock songs with great singing done by Tammy and the band just played great. The group were on until about 1.45pm which there was an interval, had an look at CD's that was on sale, spoke with Idris Jones from the Mixtures which I asked about the Mixtures and Dig We Must and thanked 2 of the guys from Skooterz. Lonnie Lee and the Leemen @ Coolangatta Tweed Golf Club

ON Friday Night June 7th I went to the Coolangatta Tweed Golf CLub to see legendary Australian singer Lonnie Lee which it was my 9th time seeing him and had not seen him live since the Class Of 59 show @ QPAC Concert Hall in Brisbane on Saturday April 2nd 2011. Dad took me and Mum to the club which we had dinner at the buffet before the show and Mum went with me to the show which it was her 4th time seeing Lonnie with me. The show started at about 8pm with the Leemen that has Brian Dean on Guitar, Leon Isackson on Drums and Allan Freeman(bass guitar) came on stage which they did 3 classic rock songs and then Lonnie Lee came on stage which he did Elvis set in that first set which he did the early years from 1954-60 including the classics like Heartbreak Hotel,Blue Moon Of Kentucky,Trying to Get to you, Don't Be Cruel and others as telling the stories about Elvis and there was an interval which I bought an Lonnie Lee DVD "The Black and WHite Years" which had clips from the
