On Friday October 16th I went to Kedron Wavell where I saw the Best Of the Bee Gees tribute show which it was my second time seeing them as my first was 12 years ago on May 24th 2003 at Kedron Wavell. Dad Took me to Cannon Hill, caught bus to Chermside, went to the Cafe, rang home, ordered Nachos and Sundae, saw Steven Moloney an family friend whose Mum Bubby was friends with my Mum for many years as she was friends with Steven's Aunty Marilyn and I had not seen him for 24 years since March 1991 at his cousin Laine's wedding, bought Coke and use mobile. Had Nachos for dinner, drank Coke, Ate Sundae, went up to the Blue Pacific Room, Saw Brenda,Yvonne and John, talked and use mobile. the Show started after 8pm with Tim Gaze (Tamam Shus) coming on stage doing an Eric Clapton tribute which it was FANTASTIC doing the classic Eric Clapton stuff with Bridget O'Donoghue on vocals which she sounded great as well and there was an interval where I spoke with Brenda, drank Coke Lif

On Sunday October 4th I went to the Myer Centre Cinema to see the movie The Intern. Ben Whittaker(Robert De Niro) an 70 year old widower who had retired after being a executive at a phone directory company applies for a senior intern program as he was getting bored with retirement and he works for About The Fit an fashion company owned by Jules Ostin (Anne Hathaway). She is skeptical of Ben at first as he assigned to work with her but become friendly and she is having issues about giving up her post as well as her personal life which gets interesting. It is excellent and an funny movie with excellent acting by Robert DeNiro, Anne Hathaway, Renee Russo who plays Fiona the massage therapist, Anders Holm who plays Jules' husband Matt, Adam DeVine as Jason, Christina Scherer as Becky and others. It is directed by Nancy Myers who also wrote the screenplay and produced it with Suzanne Farwell and Stephen Goldblatt did the cinematography. I give it 4 stars.

The Best of the Soul Years is the new compilation by Legendary Australian singer Jimmy Barnes. This compilation has tracks from the 3 albums of soul and R&B classics Soul Deep(1991),Soul Deeper Songs from the Deep South (2000) and the Rhythm and the Blues(2009) and 2 new tracks In the Midnight Hour and Mustang Sally(both Wilson Pickett songs). It's an AWESOME,FANTASTIC and an BRILLIANT CD with great songs which has stood the test of time with great singing by Barnsey on those 2 tracks and this CD went to number 3 on the Australian charts. Jimmy is back on the road at the moment with Cold Chisel and next year will be releasing another soul album. This CD is a must for Jimmy Barnes fans and I give this 5 stars which it's in the shops now so do yourself a favour and BUY IT.

In 1966 British group Hermans Hermits toured Australia with Tom Jones and it was on that tour they performed an one off live show for Australian TV which was sponsored by Hilton's Hosiery as it was shown on GTV 9 Sunday April 17th 1966 and TCN 9 Monday April 18th 1966 and also this show is now officially released on DVD by Umbrella Entertainment. On this DVD they performed the hits they had at that time with crowd throwing streamers and the dancing girls joining them on certain songs. Age Against the Machine is the new album by the late Jim Keays singer of the legendary Australian rock band The Masters Apprentices.
