It is FANTASTIC, BRILLIANT and SUPERB with FANTASTIC songs that has stood the test of time and they sound great today as it did back then as it still gets played all over the world including here in Australia. The compilation is currently at number 27 in the USA pop charts, number 4 in the USA country charts, number 40 in the UK and number 47 in Australia and let's hope it goes up more as it's been an great few weeks for Dolly Parton which she has been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame which she truly deser

This is the second book by lead singer of the legendary British heavy metal band Judas Priest Rob Halford and in this book he talks about his experiences in the music scene regarding everything from tours to tattoos, autographs, dealing with fans, the music scene today, drugs, record companies,musicians and many others which he tells his opinions and memories with real honesty. It is FANTASTIC, BRILLIANT and SUPERB with FANTASTIC stories as well as very impressive and very entertaining which it's well worth an read. Judas Priest have been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame which they truly deserve it and they are finishing their American tour Tuesday November 29th and in December doign shows in Mexico and South America as well as European shows in May and June 2023. This is an must for Judas Priest fans as well as music fans and I give it 5 stars which it is in the shops now do yourselves an favour and BUY IT which you will be impressed and amazed.

This is the new compilation of the legendary Australian group the Seekers and it is an 3 CD set it has songs including their clasic hits from the 60's as well as album tracks as well as the new recording the title track Carry Me written by Bruce Woodley which Judith Durham had recorded it as an demo and Bruce, Keith Potger and Athol Guy sang and played on the song which was to be the last recording they did with Judith Durham before passing away on August 5th this year as well as there is an great booklet which has reminiscences and memories by Keith, Bruce and Athol as well as their personal favourite Seekers songs. In 1985 American singer-songwriter John Cougar Mellencamp released the album Scarecrow which went to number 2 in the USA and Australia which went platinum 4x in Australia and 5x in the USA and from that it had the hit singles Small Town, ROCK In The USA, Rain On the Scarecrow, Rumbleseat and Lonely Ol' Night which was John proudced it with Don Gehman and also it is reissued on CD. In November 2022 and January 2023 legendary Australian singer and entertainer Issi Dye will be performing shows in Queensland which in November he will be doing 3 shows which he will do the songs of rock and roll legends by Cliff Richard, Bobby Darin, Elvis Presley, Johnny O'Keefe and many others and in January 2023 he and Glenn Douglas will do 2 Queensland shows doing the tribute shows to both Roy Orbison and the Everly Brothers which Glenn does the Roy Orbison show and then he and Issi do the Everly Brothers tribute which they do it so very well. This afternoon I went to the Dendy Cinema at Coorparoo to see the movie She Said. Megan Twohey (Carey Mulligan) and Jodi Kantor(Zoe Kazan) who are journalists from the New York Times and have been getting threats about the articles they published about Donald Trump and then they getting reports about sexual abuse allegations by Hollywood Producer Harvey Weinstein which they planned to interview the survivors and witnesses of the sexual harrasement that was cause by Weinstein when they worked for him at Miramax and the Weinstein Company which they refused to do it at first but they eventually do and it gets very interesting afterwards. It is FANTASTIC, BRILLIANT, GRIPPING and SUPERB with FANTASTIC acting by Carey Mulligan, Zoe Kazan, Ashley Judd as herslef, Patricia Clarkson, Andre Braugher,Jennifer Ehle and Samantha Morton. This was an cover of the Irish Australian folk song which was about an bushranger who dies in an gunfight with local police and it had been recorded by acts like Rolf Harris, The Irish Rovers, The Clancy Brothers, Burl Ives, Charlie Walker and many others. Ada Harris(Lesley Manville) who is an war widow and has been an cleaner becomes interested in an dress done by Christian Dior which she is then inspired to buy one so then she gets an war widow's pension which she then goes over to Paris to get one. When she arrives she stumbles into the 10th anniversary of Dior's Collection which she is friendly with accountant Andre (Lucas Bravo), Natasha (Alba Baptaista) an model who works for Dior and however Claudine (Isabelle Huppert) who is the director of Dior doen't like her. The company is going through financial problems and they reluctantly allow Ada to make a dress because she will pay it in cash and stays with Andre which she encourages him to express his feeling for Natasha and it gets interesting. Nearly 2 weeks ago Saturday morning on October 29th I saw on Facebook and the internet about the passing of iconic American rock and roll legend Jerry Lee Lewis and it was sad to hear that as 2 days before there was an report that he had died but it was not true but sadly this time it was true 2 days later that he passed away. He was born in Ferriday Louisana September 29th 1935 which he was one of 4 children to Elmo and Mamie Lewis he had an brother Elmo Jr who passed away in 1938 and sisters Frankie and Linda who is an well known pianist and singer in her own right and had 3 cousins Mickey Gilley an well known American country, American televangelist Jimmy Swaggart and Carl McVoy who would record with the Bill Black Combo. He started playing piano in his youth and in 1949 made his first public performance doing Sticks McGhee's song Drinkin Wine Spo-Dee-O-Dee at an car dealership with an country and western band. In 1983 Australian band INXS had almost finished their first US tour which was 3 months when they performed at the Us Festival on May 28th 1983 and they performed 9 songs including that came from the album Shabooh Shabooh which it was their American breakthrough as it was the start of many US tours for the band. It is FANTASTIC and BRILLIANT with FANTASTIC songs and it sounds great which it was never released until now as well as Tim Farris and steve Wozniak who was one of the founders of the Us Festival doing the liner notes as well as being mixed by Mark Opitz, Josh Marx and Anthony Garvin and Chris Murphy was the executive producer. Music Pictures New Orleans

last Thursday afternoon I went to the Dendy Cinema Coorparoo as part of the Brisbane International Festival to see the documentary Music Pictures New Orleans. In this documentary 4 artists of the New Orleans music scene from the 60's and 70's Irma Thomas, Little Freddie King, Ellis Marsalis and Bennie Jones Sr from The Treme Brass Band were interviewed and they talked about their experiences in the music business and stories as well as showing footage of their recording and playing music in New Orleans which one of those interviews with Ellis Marsalis was sadly one of the last as he passed away not long after that and also it has interviews with Irma's husband Ed as well as musician working with Irma as well as musicians who worked with Little Freddie King and Ellis Marsalis' son Jason. It is FANTASTIC and BRILLIANT as well as very impressive and very entertaining with great stories from these legends which it is well worth seeing. it is directed by Ben Chace
