On Tuesday I got an CD that ordered from Red Eye Records in Sydney and it was the defintive collection by NZ rock group from the 60's Ray Columbus and the Invaders who are very well known for the song "She's A Mod" (number1 in australia and NZ in 1964) which I have play it since. This Cd was released last year just prior to ray columbus and the invaders being inducted into the NZ Music Hall Of Fame and it has an lot of great stuff on it including 4 live tracks which are- She's A Mod, The rise and fall of flingel blunt, Bread and Butter(the Newbeats song) and If I fell as well as the hits including she's a mod, til we kissed, Yo YO,I wanna Be your man etc and album tracks which it's very well put together. It's an excellent CD and it's excellent to listen to the live recordings which it sounds so good as well as the songs which i'm sure it will bring back memories for the fans who grew up in the 60's watching these guys on NZ TV like club co

Yesterday went to the South bank Cinema to see the Australian movie Beneath Hill 60. On Friday April 9th, I went to see the Delltones australian singing group who has been on the scene since 1958 @ Kedron-Wavell which it was the 7th time I have seen them live and it was rocking & Fantastic. They just get better and better every time I see them. On Good Friday april 2nd I went to the Southbank cinema to see the movie the Last Song which stars Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth. Australian rock'n'roll of the 50's & early 60's 2 lost legendary performers in 2 weeks in march. 1st was rock singer Ray Hoff who had a band called the Offbeats in the late 50's & 60's passed away on march 19th had been sick in recent times as he had cancer and a stroke and it's an big loss for OZ ROck. he formed the offbeats in the late 50's which had jimmy taylor on piano and Leon Isackson on drums who went to play with Dig Richards & the R'JAys, the rajahs,the delltones and plays with Aussie 50's rock Lonnie Lee these days. Hoff appeared on Six O'Clock rock and changed his style of music in the 60's into R&N and soul music which he was then based in Perth. On Saturday march 13th i went to the carina leagues club to do shave for a cure for the Leukemia Foundation which it was my 2nd time as i did that last year and i raised $1,286. This year was very good and I was not as nervous as i did last year which it was great experience. There was an funny thing happended as dennis and samantha was going to cut my hair there was an problem with the razor as it could not shave my hair but thanks to Christian who went to get new clippers and thanked goodness it worked. My mum were there was well as 2 people who go ten pin bowling with me Paul burns & his mum val and i really appreciate the support. I raised $1,714.30 and thanks to my friends from work,ten pin bowling,church,shop,mum & dad and some of my neighbours for sponsoring me which I really appreciate that. i will be doing it again next year

On March 7th I went to the south bank Cinema to see the movie The Blind Side which stars Sandra Bullock. Michael oher(Quinton Aaron) has been in foster care with different families for 17 years and he runs away every time he goes to a new home.he is enrolled into an christian school. Leigh Anne Tuohy(sandra Bullock an interior designer and mother to SJ(Jae Head) and Collins(lilly collins) offers michael an place to stay which he stays at the tuohy house and starts becoming an a part of the family and he enrolled into the school football team and his life changes and it gets interesting throughout the movie. It's Brilliant,sad,funny and touching, top Acting by Sandra Bullock in her Oscar winning role as well as very acting by tim mcgraw who plays Sean Leigh Ann's husband,jae Head,Lilly Collins, Quinton Aaron, ray mckinnon as the coach of the football team and Kathy bates as miss sue who helps Michael. On MArch 5th, i went to see Australian singer Daryl braithwaite @ Kedron-Wavell as it was my 3rd time seeing him which the first was with Sherbet @ the Countdown Concert on Saturday September 16th 2006 and 2nd was at Kedron-Wavell on Friday MAy 2nd 2008. The show was ROCKIN & FANTASTIC which he was in great voice and his back up were just FANTASTIC Geoff Wells on lead guitar since 1999, John Corniola on drums since 1988, Mark Amato on keyboards & bass since 2001 and on guitar David Campbell since 1993.
