2023 was 65 years when British singer Cliff Richard emerged on the music scene with Move It going to number 2 in the UK which and he did the Blue Sapphire tour of the UK in November which included 4 shows at the London Eventim Apollo which was where it was filmed which shown in the cinemas in Australia in February this year and was shown in the UK and Ireland on November 25th and 26th 2023 and it is now out on DVD. On this DVD he performs many of his classic hits from his career including Living Doll, Please Don't Tease, Devil Woman, Wired For Sound, Saviour's Day and many others as well as having an 2 part interview with British lyricist Sir Tim Rice. Last night I went to see the iconic music legend Graham Nash @ QPAC Concert Hall which it was the first time that I got to see him and I didn't want to miss the chance. Dad took me with the bus stop, caught bus, got off at South Bank, went to the Plough Inn, rang Dad, had Steak, chips and Salad for dinner, drank Pepsi Max, went to Kiwi Ice Shop where I ate Movie Bowl Sundae and walk to QPAC. Put Bag in Cloak Room, Bought the Graham Nash Live CD, drank Coke With No Sugar, waited and went inside. Tonight I went to the Brisbane Convention Centre to see the iconic American soul Singer Gladys Knight which was my first time. Had Nachos for dinner, drank Pepsi Max, went to the Food Court, had Movie Bowl Sundae for desert and walk to the Convention Centre. waited around, asked an lady about merchadise which there wasn't and had a look at my ticket which she offered me an ticket to seat on the floor are which I accepted it, saw Kylie who use to work with me at St Andrews, her mum Hem who still does work at St Andrews which she told me that she was going to the show tonight and met 2 other ladies who came with them, bought Pepsi Max, drank it, went through Door 4, use mobile and wrote notes. This is the new album by legendary Australian singer and member of the iconic Australian rock band Midnight Oil Peter Garrett and it was recorded at Hercules Street Studio in Surrey Hills which all the songs are written by Peter himself except Paddo which he wrote with former Midnight Oil bandmate Martin Rotsey and Human Background by Ainslie Willis. Martin also plays on the album as well as Grace and May Garrett(his daughters) doing the background vocals and Grace also did the album cover. It is excellent album with great songs with great singing by Peter Garrett who is sounding great which he produced the album with Tony Buchen and the album is at number 17 on the Australian charts which it's great to see. Peter is currently on tour which he is playing Perth tonight, Cairns on Thursday, the Byron bay Blues Festival next Friday and Brisbane at the Tivoli next Saturday. He did the breakfast show on 4IP from Mondays to Saturdays from 5am until 9am at the time in 1969.

This is the lastest album by legendary singer-songwriter and member of iconic rock groups The Hollies and Crosby Stills Nash and Young Graham Nash and this album was recorded at Studio 145, Brooklyn Recording and Don Calldwell Studios which all the songs are written by Graham Nash and Todd Caldwell who also produced the album as well Todd doing the string arrangement and also among the songs on the album is called Buddy's Back which Graham does it with fellow Hollies member Allan Clark who sings vocals on it which it's about American rocker Buddy Holly who influuenced the Hollies, The Beatles, The Rolling Stones and many artists. It is an excellent album with great songs with great singing gy Graham nash who is still sounding great at age 82. The album went to number 97 in the UK, number 1 in the UK Independent Albums charts, number 14 in Scotland, number 88 in Switzerland, number 28 in Germany and number 120 in Belgium and Graham is currently touring Australia at the moment

This afternoon I went to the Events Cinema to see the movie The Great Escaper which it's based on an true story. it's 2014 and Bernie Jordan(Michale Caine) who served in the Navy and his wife Rene (Glenda Jackson) are in an nursing home and he is told that the trip to France for the 70th anniversary of D-Day has been full up so he sneaks away from the nursing home the next morning and goes on the boat to go France for the celebrations which he meets an fellow war veteran Arthur (John Standing) and also he deals with his past about his experiences in the war including seeing an officer Douglas Bennett(Elliot Norman) getting killed and it gets interesting. It is excellent and Brilliant with Brilliant acting by Michael Caine, Glenda jackson, John Standing, Will Fletcher as the young Bernard, laura Marcus as the young Rene, John Standing, Jackie Clune, Danielle Vitalis and Wolf Kahler. This is from the Northern Surburbs Express March 9th 1966 and 4BC which is now the talkback station was one of the top Brisbane music stations back in the 60's which among their disc jockeys were Geoff Atkinson, Tony MacArthur and Graeme Smith (Bob) who took over from Bob Wills who went to 4BK which they were on the air daily from 4pm until midnight as they would play the latest records that were out at the time.

This is from the Courier Mail March 8th 1960 and 4BH which is now the Classic Hits station was back at that time was one of Brisbane's popular radio stations which among their disc jockeys was Bill Gates who as we all know gave the Bee Gees their name as well as doing shows on 4BH including Platter Chatter as well as doing the record hops all around Brisbane as well as Ipswich as well as the O'Connor Boathouse at North Quay and for a time in 1960 use to do Record Hops at the City Hall during the afternoons from 12pm-2pm which well known names of Australian rock and roll would appear there including Johnny Devlin who was Kiwi but based in Australia at the time.
