The Dolly Show @ Kedron Wavell

Yesterday went to Kedron Wavell to see the tribute show legendary American country singer Dolly Parton called The Dolly Show which has Kelly O'Brien who is Australian who is based in England and it was my first time seeing it. I caught the bus from the city to Chermsise, had a look at Dymocks and QBD and walk to Kedron Wavell. Went to the Kitchen, rang Dad, had a look at menu, ordered my meal, bought Coke With No Sugar, did some writing and drank Water, Had grilled fish, chips and salad for lunch drank Coke With No Sugar, Ate Fundae and drank another Coke with No Sugar. Saw Diane an lady I know from work, met Neil, went to the Blue Pacific Room, saw Barbara, had an Coke with No Sugar to drink and waited. The show started @ 3.05pm with Kelly coming out which in the first set did the 70's performng the classics inclusing Jolene, Coat of Many Colours and many others as well as telling stories as well as changing costumes as well as during one song an man came on stage to dancing with her and there was an interval which I ate Chips and Drank Coke With No Sugar and use mobile. The second set commenced which was the 80's up to now which included Travelin Through when she walked through the audience and she shook my hand as well as when she performed Islands In The Stream which she was asking for a man to sing in the audience which Damien came on stage and did the song which it sounded great as well as telling more stories as well as changing customes. The show finished at 5pm, bought ticket to see Dean Vegas the Elvis Presley tribute peformer on May 31st, walk to the bus stop, caught bus to city, caught bus to Carindale, had dinner at the Carindale Hotel which I had Carindale Parmigiana, chips and salad. Dad picked me up and came home. It was an FANTASTIC show which Kelly did an FANTASTIC performance doing Dolly as doing the classic songs very well as well as very entertaining and giving the audience an great afternoon's entertainment which everyone had an great time including myself and also the back up band were just FANTASTIC including the female bass player who was great too. I hope Kelly comes back again and if you didn't get a chance to see her please do yoursleves an favour and SEE HER which you will be impressed and amazed. Vale Peter Flanagan(the Fauns/The Flanagans)

Peter Flanagan member of legendary Australian singing family group the Fauns aka the The Flanagans passed away on September 2nd aged 73 at the Royal North Shore Hospital in Sydney. Peter along with brother Paul and Sister Margaret began as the Fauns in 1959 as they had been doing classical music training which they released 3 singles on the Leedon label- Dance With Me/Don't Take the Stars, We Should Be Together/While Susan Sleeps and Nursery Rhymes Rock and as the Flanagans they released 4 singles on the HMV label-He/Wonderland Of Love and Dreams(1965), Follow the Wind/Land OF Beyond(1965), You Were Meant FOr Me/That's How Man Began(1966) and This is My Song/For Bobby(1967). the group did appearances on Bandstand,Six O'Clock Rock, Teen Time, The Johnny O'Keefe Show, Sing Sing Sing, the Mike Walsh Show, IMT, Revue 61, Revue 62 and many others as well as performing on the Matt Munro TV special in 1966 as well as performing in the clubs too as well as co writing the song

Roland Storm , Bryan Davies and the Mighty Guys show @ South Tweed Sports Club June 6th 2015

On Saturday June 6th I went to the South Tweed Sports Club in the evening where I saw legendary Australian singers Roland Storm and Bryan Davies as well as the rock group the Mighty Guys. Dad took me to the Club, signed in, went inside, bought an Pepsi max, drank it, saw Mick Hamilton(had not seen since Sunday June 9th 2013) and Leon Isackson and waited. The show started after 8pm with the Mighty Guys doing a few songs which were classic rock n roll songs with lead vocals done by both Leon Isackson and Mick Hamilton and then Roland Storm and Bryan Davies came on stage which they did a few songs together which then Roland did his set which he performed an set of classic rock songs as well as doing his hit from 1992 with Rolling With the Flow and there was an interval which Roland was selling CD's as I already have them but he came which people bought them as well as seeing Mike Lawler which I mentioned to him about the Rajahs version of a Beatles song on the Australia Salutes the
