Roland Storm , Bryan Davies and the Mighty Guys show @ South Tweed Sports Club June 6th 2015

On Saturday June 6th I went to the South Tweed Sports Club in the evening where I saw legendary Australian singers Roland Storm and Bryan Davies as well as the rock group the Mighty Guys. Dad took me to the Club, signed in, went inside, bought an Pepsi max, drank it, saw Mick Hamilton(had not seen since Sunday June 9th 2013) and Leon Isackson and waited. The show started after 8pm with the Mighty Guys doing a few songs which were classic rock n roll songs with lead vocals done by both Leon Isackson and Mick Hamilton and then Roland Storm and Bryan Davies came on stage which they did a few songs together which then Roland did his set which he performed an set of classic rock songs as well as doing his hit from 1992 with Rolling With the Flow and there was an interval which Roland was selling CD's as I already have them but he came which people bought them as well as seeing Mike Lawler which I mentioned to him about the Rajahs version of a Beatles song on the Australia Salutes the Beatles Cd which was out last year as well as seeing Roland as I only saw him 9 months before @ Kedron Wavell and also took a photo of Roland and Mike which Mike took a photo of Roland and me. The show resumed with Roland doing 1 song and then Bryan Davies did an number songs on his own including his famous hit from 1961 with Dream Girl which he mentioned Geoff Harvey as well as few Elvis and Johnny O'Keefe songs which Roland came back on for 2 more songs which they finished the show with Shout. The show finished after 10.20pm, saw Phil Eizenberg, got an photo with Bryan Davies, rang Dad, spoke with a lady and caught the courtesy bus back to Bella Mare which i rang Dad. It was an FANTASTIC show which despite there were not a lot of people there with Bryan and Roland still singing great and great playing by the Mighty Guys which it was my first time seeing them with Leon as I have seen them with Terry on drums and also everyone there enjoyed themselves including myself. I hope Roland and Bryan come back to Cooly Rocks On next year and to those who have not seen them do yourself a favour and see them as they put on an FANTASTIC show doing great songs from an Great era which I'm sure it will bring back memories for those who grew up in the 60's as well as those who were not born in that era but have an interest in the era you shall experience seeing great legends of Australian Rock.
