This is the reissued CD of the Greatest Hits CD by the legendary Australian rock band the Angels which was released in 1992 that went to number 76 in Australia and on the albums it has the classic songs by the Angels in the 70's including the 2 versions of Am I Ever Gonna See Your Face Again, Shadow Boxer, Comin Down, Take A Long Line, Marseilles, I Ain't The One and many others which are from the 70's period with the Bonus CD is the live recording Live At Latrobe in Melbourne in 1979 which it has the line up of the Brewster Brothers John and Rick, Doc Neeson, Chris Bailey and Buzz Bidstrup. For The Classic Album segment with the recent passing of Randy Mesiner member of the Eagles and before that Poco I thought I would do an tribute to him by doing the 1974 album by the Eagles On The Border. This is was recorded at Olympic Studios in London and Record Plant Studios in Los Angeles and it was the first album produced by Bill Szymczyk who had produced the James Gang including Joe Walsh who would joined the Eagles the following year, BB King amd the J Geils Band which actually Glyn Johns who produced the first 2 Eagles albums produced 2 tracks on which also Bill took over as there was disagreements betwen the Eagles and Glyn Johns as they want to go to the more rock oriented sound. This is the new album by Australian singer Tina Arena and the tracks on the album are written by Tina along with Tania Doko from the Australian group Bachelor Girl as well as Michael Paytner on one song as well as with Jack Earle on 2 songs and with Swedish singer-songwriter Mattias Lindblom who also produced this album which it's Tina's first album of original songs in 8 years. It is FANTASTIC with great songs with great singing by Tina who is still sounding great as ever and is on the road in Australia in October which she is not doing Brisbane but the Gold coast at the HOTA sound Stage on October 13th as well as shows in America and the UK in November. The album went to number 2 in Australia and this an must for Tina Arena fans which I give it 4 stars as it's in the shops now so do yourselves an favour and BUY IT which you will be impressed and amazed.

Bluegrass Willie Nelson

This is the new album by legendary American country singer Willie Nelson and it is his first full album that has bluegrass music which was recorded at Blackbird in Nashville Tennessee and Pedernales in Austin Texas and the 12 tracks are reinterpretations of songs from Willie's back catalogue including On The Road Again, A Good Hearted Woman, Home Motel aand many others. It is produced by Buddy Cannon who is also an songwriter and has been working with Willie as well as Kenny Chesney, Reba McIntire and George Jones and the most of the musicians who play on this album are the guys who played with Alison Krauss and Union Station as well as Mickey Raphael who has played with Willie since 1973. It is an excellent album with great songs which he does the bluegrass version of the songs very well and still singing great at the age of 90 which it's amazing to see. The album went to number 7 in the UK Country charts, number 64 in the Swiss charts and number 63 in the Scottish charts

This is the autobiography of English-American songwriter and lyricist Bernie Taupin and in this book he talks about his upbringing in Lincolnshire, worked for the Lincolshire Standard, meeting Elton John (Reg Dwight) in 1967 which started the songwriting partnership that is still going today, worked for music publisher Dick James's company DJM, the scene of 70's and 80s' Beverley Hills, the songs he wrote with Elton john as well as stories behind them, his encounters with Frank Sinatra, John Lennon, Oliver Reed, Hank marvin, working with Alice Cooper, playing in the Farm Dogs band and many others. Last Sunday September 17th I went to Kedron Wavell to see the show Elvis An American Trilogy which had Brody Finlay and Steve Michaels. I caught the bus to Chermside from the City, walk to Kedron Wavell, Saw Paula, went to the Kitchen, rang home, Had Steak Dandwich, chips and Chicken wings for lunch, drank Coke With No Sugar, ate Brownie Sundae, drank another Coke with No Sugar and waited. went to the Blue Pacific Room, saw Barbara, bought drank Coke With No Sugar, use mobile and waited. The Show started at about 3.10pm with Brody Finlay coming on stage which he did the 50's and early 60's Elvis including That's Alright Mama, Heartbreak Hotel and Viva Las Vegas and Steve Michaels came on stage which he did the Elvis 68 special wearing the black leather gear and doing the songs Elvis performed on the show which the first set ended with Steve doing If I Can Dream. This is the new album by legendary American singer Alice Cooper and this was recorded in Nashville with the vocals done in Los Angeles, The tracks on the album are mostly original written by Alice Cooper along with different people including one with Wayne Kramer from MC5 as well as members of his band and an cover of the Who song Magic Bus as well as among the musicians playing on the album including Roger Glover from Deep Purple and Tom Morello from Rage Against The Machine and Audioslave. This is the remastered album from Canadian singer Shania Twain which was released in 1997 and it was produced by her then husband Robert John "mutt" Lange which 12 singles including Man I Feel Like A Woman, You're Still The One, From This Moment etc as well as going to number 1 in the USA, Australia which in 1999 was the best selling album there and the UK which it's the 3rd best selling album in the world. On the double CD edition the Diamond Edition as it was 25 years ago when the album came out which the first CD has the original tracks that was on the album and on the second CD it has live versions of the songs including 2 with Alison Krauss and with Sir Elton John as well as the Backstret Boys as well as an Tempo Mix of From This Moment. This is the compilation CD by legendary American hard rock band Aerosmith which I am reviewing the single CD compilation and on this CD it has the classic hits from 1973-98 including Dream On, Walk This Way, Back In The Saddle, Angel, I Don't Want to Miss A Thing and many others. It is FANTASTIC, BRILLIANT and SUPERB with FANTASTIC and AWESOME songs which has stood the test of time and still sounding great to this day as they are songs you can never get tired of. The album went to number 36 in the USA and number 49 in the UK and the band are going back on the road which they are touring America from October until February 2024 including some dates being rescheduled due to Steven Tyley having had vocal cord damage . This is an must for fans of Aerosmith and I am giving this 5 stars as it's in the shops now so do yourselves an favour and BUY IT which you will be impressed and amazed.

This is the autobiography of legendary Australian entertainer Barry Crocker and in this book he talked about started using an camera at age 10, started doing musicals, working with David Clark, working in Asia, Europe and America, doing the Barry McKenzie movies, encounters with Frank Sinatra, Sammy Davis Jr, Priscilla Presley, Lang Hancock, Stevie Wonder, Bill Clinton, Barry Humphries and many others. It is FANTASTIC, BRILLIANT and SUPERB with AMAZING, Impressive and Very Entertaining stories along great photos which it is well worth an read indeed. Barry is one of the last of the entertainers who are still around from the early days of Australian entertainment and Phillip Adams who is an Australian writer did the foreword. This is an must for fans of Australian entertainment and I give it 5 stars as it's in the shops now so do yourselves an favour and BUY IT which you will be impressed and amazed.

This is from the Telegraph September 13th 1963 and this is the 4BH top 40 charts 60 years ago with Hello Muddul Hello Fadduh by Allan Sherman , The Atlantics with Bombora at number 2, Wayne Newton with Daken Scoen at number 3 and at number 4 Cliff Richard and the Shadows with Lucky Lips. New entries in the chat that week were Martian Hop by the Ran-Dells at number 23 , Denise by Randy and the Rainbows at number 36 and Hello Melvin(This is Mother) at number 28. Also in the top 40 that week were Devil In Disguise by Elvis Presley at number 12, Helen Shapiro with No Trepassing at number 9, Atlantis by the Shadows at number 19, Sweets For My Sweet by the Searchers at number 24, Ring Of Fire by Johnny Cash at number 25, The Beach Boys with Little Duece Cupe at number 29 and Surfer Girl at number 33 and Johnny O'Keefe with Move Baby Move at number 38. Great songs that has stood the test of time 60 years later and still sounding great today.

Ego The Michael Gudinski Story

Last Saturday I went to the Events Cinema Carindale to see the documentary Ego The Michael Gudinski Story which was about Australian music executive and promoter Michael Gudinski. It talks about his upbringing in Melbourne, his parents who were Jewish Russian immigrants, starting promoting as an teenager, experience the music scene, being at Sunbury, formed Mushroom Records , started Frontier Touring, selling Mushroom, Starting Liberation, his personal issues and also has interviews with his wife Sue, children Matthew and Kate, Red Symons and Greg Macainsh from Skyhooks, Ross Wilson, Tim and Neil Finn, Billy Joel, Jimmy Barnes, Kylie Minouge, Ray Evans, Paul Kelly, Phillip Jacobson, Dave Grohl, Shirley Manson, Ed Sheeran and many others. Oh What A Night at Kedron Wavell

On Sunday I went to Kedron Wavell to see the Four Seasons tribute show Oh What A Night which it was my second time seeing the show as I first saw them on Saturday February 25th 2017. I caught the bus to Chermside from the city, walk to Kedron Wavell, went to the Kitchen, rang Dad, ordered Rib Fillet, chips and salad and Brownie Sundae, bought Coke With No Sugar and use mobile. Had Rib Fillet, chips and salad for lunch, drank Coke with No Sugar, and Ate Sundae. Drank another coke with no sugar, went to toilet, bought ticket to see Fabba and Boney M Xperience show on March 17th 2024, went upstairs and went to the Blue Pacific Room. Bought Chips and Coke with No Sugar, ate chips, drank Coke with No Sugar and use mobile.
