The Seekers The Legendary Television Specials

The Legendary Television Specials DVD by the legendary Australian group The Seekers is out and this DVD has the TV specials they did in the 60's which were The Seekers At Home from 1966 on HSV 7, The Seekers Down Under 1967 also on HSV 7 and the World Of the Seekers 1968 on GTV 9 which the 1967 special had 7 million viewers watching as well as was shown in the UK in 1968 twice and the 1968 special was screened in the cinemas before shown on TV to high ratings and it is in the Top 10 of the most Watched shows in the history of the 20th Century in Australia. It's BRILLIANT, FANTASTIC and SUPERB as well very entertaining with an AWESOME booklet and it is well worth watching and this DVD has gone to number 1 in Australia on the DVD charts which it's Amazing to see which they truly deserve it. it's 50 years when they were awarded Australians of The Year as well as breaking up in July and great to see the interest of the Seekers still there which it's wonderful. This is the autobiography of Irish singer as well as a member of the legendary group the Nolans Linda Nolan and in this book she talks about her early life in Ireland, moving to Blackpool with her family in the early 60's, performing with her sisters Bernie, Maureen, Anne and Denise around Blackpool in the clubs, moving to London in the early 70's, working with Frank Sinatra, Cliff Richard, Engelbert Humperdinck, Rolf Harris etc, achieve record success in the 70's and 80's including I'm In the Mood For Dancing, doing theatre work including Maggie May and Blood Brothers, doing Celebrity Big Brother, the deaths of her husband in 2007 and sister Bernie in 2013, having depression as well as having breast cancer and many others. Infinite Tuesday An Autobiographical Riff is the memoir of American singer-songwriter and an member of the Monkees Michael Nesmith which I am reviewing the paperback version as it was released last year on hardcover. In this book he talks about his upbringing in Texas, going into the Air Force, getting his first guitar Christmas 1961, moving to Los Angeles where he performed at the Troubadour on Monday nights, auditioned for the Monkees TV show which he would get it as it would lead to the TV series that started in 1966 until 1968 as well as the group that would last until 1970, the issues behind the scenes, hanging out with John Lennon, Jack Nicholson and Jimi Hendrix, forming the First National Band, his solo career, pioneering music videos and many others. 10CC @ Twin Towns

On Saturday April 28th I went to Twin Towns for the second night in an row to see legendary British 70's group 10CC which it was my first time seeing them. I had been to dinner with Mum, Dad and Heath at Greenmount Surf Club where I had Nachos for dinner, I walked to the club, went to the 5th floor, bought program, went inside the showroom and waited. Then 10CC came on around 8.40pm with original member Graham Gouldman, Rick Fenn guitarist since 1976, Paul Burgess on drums since 1976, Keith Hayman on keyboards, guitars and vocals and Iain Hornal on guitar and vocals and for the next hour and an half the group performed many of their classic hits from the 70's which everyone was singing along to the songs and the crowd were enjoying themselves too and before the show finished they did their first hit Donna in a capella which was amazing and sounded great and also when they finished the show with Rubber Bullets most of the crowd stood up to dance along. the show finished af

Chris Montez and the Crystals show @ Twin Towns

Last Friday April 27th I went to Twin Towns to see legendary American singer Chris Montez as well as legendary American girl group the Crystals and the All Stars the Melbourne Rock and Roll group and it was my second time seeing the Crystals as I saw them at Kedron Wavell on Saturday August 1st 2015 with the All Stars and Ray Burgess but it was my first time seeing Chris Montez. I went to the venue where I saw steak, chips and salad for dinner, went to the 5th floor, ate Chocolate, went in the showroom, saw my friend Lynn from rockabilly which I saw at dinner and met my Facebook friend Tyler who I saw at the Go Show concert last year. The show started @ about 8.30pm with the All Stars including Ian B Allen on bass, Barry Roy from the Henchmen and Jigsaw on guitar and on drums Graeme "Trotta" Trottman from Normie Rowe and the Playboys coming on stage which they did an set of rock and roll written by people like Gerry Goffin and Carole King, Neil Sedaka, Otis Blackwell and Jer
