The Life I've Picked John McEuen

This is the autobiography of American musician and founding member of the legendary American country rock band the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band John McEuen and in this book he talks about his upbringing in Oakland and Fermont California, going to Garden Grove High School where he met future actor and musician Steve Martin, working at Disneyland, seeing the Dillard that got him into playing the banjo, formed his first group called the Willmore City Moonshiners, becoming friends with Jose Feliciano, forming the group known as the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band with Jeff Hanna and Jimmie Fadden which he would be with them until 2017 on and off and would achieve success with hits singles like Buy Me For the Rain and Mr Bojangles, working on Paint Your Wagon the 1969 movie, the passing of his father and sister Maureen, working with people like Bill Cosby, the Doors, Earl Scruggs, Johnny Cash, Bill Wyman, Leon Russell, Edgar Winter, his solo career and many others. It's an FANTASTIC, BRILLIANT and an SUPERB book with AWESOME and FANTASTIC stories told by John as well as very impressive and an AWESOME read and I enjoyed it. John is still performing on his own as he has some shows coming up in the USA as well as hosting his Sirius/XM Satellite show Acoustic Traveller. This book is an must for fans of the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band as well as fans of 70's music and I give this 5 stars which it's in the shop so you do yourselves an favour and BUY IT which you should enjoy this book and be impressed.
