The Lion King

I saw the photorealistic computer animated version of the classic Disney animated movie The Lion King at the Balmoral Cinema tonight. King Mufasa(James Earl Jones) who is the King of The Pride Lands and wife Queen Sarabi (Alfrie Woodward) have an son Simba(JD McCrary) who is presented to the animals by Rafiki(John Kani) and Mufusa shows Simba the Pride Lands as well as explaining the responsibilities while Mufusa's brother Scar(Chiwetel Ejiofor) plans to eliminate Mufusa and Simba so he could become King. Simba is lured into the gorge by Scar which the Hyenas drive a large herd of wildebeest into a stampede which Mufusa rescues Simba but he is then pushed to his death by Scar and then convinces Simba that it was his fault so he is told to run away and never return which Scar becomes King. Simba is rescued by Timon and Pumbaa (Billy Eichner and Seth Rogan) in the desert which he grows up in the desert played by Donald Glover and encounters Nala played by Beyoncé which she tells him what is happened to the Pride Lands which he refuses to go back but after meeting Rafiki he goes back and it gets interesting. It's FANTASTIC with top and excellent acting by Donald Glover, Seth Rogan, James Earl Jones, Beyoncé and Chiwetel Ejifor and it's directed by Jon Faverau who also produced it with Jeffrey Silver and Karen Gilchrist and Jeff Nathanson did the screenplay. It's 25 years ago since the original movie came and I think this new version is FANTASTIC which mainly the same with some parts different and I am not an fan of remakes of classic movies but if they do it well as well as doing a bit different that's a good thing about it. I give it 4 stars and it's in the cinemas now so do yourselves an favour and see it.
